Yamaha f 250 proper temperature range

I have twin F250s on my Marlin and they run about one to two increments to the right of straight up on the temp gauge when running at 4200 RPMs. I'd say that it is about 60-70 % on the gauges. My engines have 1942.2 hours on them. I am getting ready for the 2000 hour maintenance; timing...

First Time Timing Belt Change F250

I watched a Yamaha guy do it to my engines 932 hours ago, mine a almost due again. I would be concerned about number 4 moving 30 degrees. Hopefully you set it back. Anyway it seemed to me that the tech removed the tensioners to put the belt on. In fact he told me to replace the tensioners...

I have 1909 hours on my F250s on my 2007 Marlin, and they run great. I am approaching the 2000 hour point where I will have the Yamaha techs change timing belts and tensioners. I do all the other 100 and 200 hour maintenance myself with help from my son, brother and nephew. Use to do most of...

I took mine off the spray them and they came off without a problem. I did not see any issue once the arm was off. They went back on without a hitch. Oh by the way they look great after the spray on vinyl coating. It has been 9 months since I did it they look good thus far.

    2000 300 Marlin U.S.C.G RATING

I have a 2007 Marlin and it does not have a max capacity sticker on it. You must however have all the required safety equipment for the boat and life vests that fit all persons on board, plus a throw cushion or ring.

    Boat Lift Storage Best Practices

Whomever puts in your boat lift should know to add two zincs, they should hang about two feet underwater., one on each side of the lift. They are the sacrificial zincs to take on any stray electrical current in your canal.

    Boat Lift Storage Best Practices

One other point, be sure the lift has large zincs to protect the lift beams. And check them every 6 months, replace them when they are 60% gone. Stray voltage in canals will eat your lift without them. Oh, and unplug your lift after each usage.

    300 Marlin - 250’s or 300’s?

I have a 2007 Marlin with F250s. I have 1891 hours on them, they run great. Keep up on the recommended maintenance and the engines should go 4000 hours. I did add a hatch to the aft floor to access the fuel water separators. Fairly easy if you are handy with a skill saw.
