My 226 had a plate with ten max.

I sold the boat but the trailer was decent. Didn’t tow very far only about 14-15 miles a year. If I had to tow long distance I might have spent a little more on something different.

My 03 226 had a bow pulpit and hardtop, it had a 225 and I always wondered what a 250 would do. I never saw much more than 37-38 WOT. 200 might not be enough for that hull.

Moved to Florida and logistically couldn’t coordinate the move with the boat. We sold our CT house and moved to Florida in about 45 days.

I really miss my 226.

I shrink wrapped my 226 one year then bought a nice convas cover from boat covers direct. Cover cost me $650 shrink wrap was $350 per year.

Yeah I sold it up north in CT before moving to St. Augustine. Dang COVID put the transport and the move on separate schedules. Just didn’t work out. Happier now boat less as I’m playing a lot of golf.

cost me $2700 that was 2k labor and $700 for the parts, I did my oil pump while the power head was off. I know some have paid more.

I had a 2002 f225 corrosion was starting to take hold at 900 ish hours. Make sure you have it scoped prior to buying.

I miss my boat but do not miss having to put it away for the winter.

i used to run my tank down as far as I could and put stabil in it for the winter, never had an issue.

I had mine done. The guy used plywood one piece and then put resin and fiberglass to finish it off. Was solid as a rock after. That was three years ago and when I sold the boat it was still solid.

Check all your grounds cables. When I had my seafarer one day ran fine the next It was surging losing power and running like crap. I was able to determine the ground cables at the main post by the battery switch were loose. Tightened them and never the Issue again.

My f225 would sound the alarm when running on the muffs. I changed my water pump once myself and decided it was worth the coin to have a pro do it.

Go Silverado if the extra cost you are ok with. Nicer truck and more towing.

Just sold my 226, the boat could handle a lot more than I was willing to go out in. Lots of fishing space as well.
