Your experience with a hydrofoil (especially on a 228)?

Lucky, If this is really the way you operate your 228, I can only say that you need to get with someone that is knowledgeable with small Gradys and have a good chat. A hands-on cruise with that person will enlighten you. I can only imagine your strife at the helm when running at speed into a...

Your experience with a hydrofoil (especially on a 228)?

I agree Dennis. I think lucky probably chose the most expensive option there is for increased comfort in the chop.

    Water Smells In Freshwater Tank:

RV antifreeze is just that. It causes water to freeze at lower temps than normal. Bleach is an anti-bacterial you might call it. Kills all sorts of bad stuff...including you if you get too much. It's chlorine in a very reduced state. Myself, I found RV antifreeze harder to get rid of as far as...

    Unreliable Autopilot

I agree with Scotty. If we had a picture of the AP you are considering, we could make better suggestions and be able to give you a better evaluation of the chances that AP#1 will have a negative reaction to the AP change.

    2000 GRADY WHITE 265 EXPRESS

Martin, I hope you stick to the non smoking regime. It's tough I know, but worth it. If you are having trouble, start running. You can't smoke while you run and it will get those lungs going again. If the urge gets big, throw on your shoes and do 5K. That's just enough for your body to change...

    Cockpit heat ideas 208 Adventure

I should have also mentioned that those heaters do a good job but they are to be used when the people onboard are awake and alert. No napping in the cabin while the heater is running . Not worth the risk.

    Cockpit heat ideas 208 Adventure

I agree with 232Grady. I worked on the water in SE Alaska for years and we had good luck with Webasto and Wallas heaters in our crew boats. 232 is right about using kerosene instead of diesel. Diesel stinks too much for a small space and it soots up the spark plug causing ignition to fail...
