Repair complete, FWIW... Ground smooth, used 1/2" starboard (1" x 3"), inserted a 1/4" tee nut, and epoxied into the seat base... Used JB Weld (tan) instead of MarineTex... Seems pretty solid - we'll see if it holds up... Pompanette indicated that they can send me a new set of pop pins...

Would still like some insight on installation on a 265 Express... There just doesn't seem to be sufficient space for everything - would love to know how it's actually been done...

Mine's almost 20 year old, and it needs some work... The insert nuts that hold the rear mounting screws (which secure the armrest assembly and the seat to the bracket) have broken out of the plastic seat base... I am thinking I'll grind the plastic smooth, epoxy in a plywood insert, and...

I just installed Bennett's auto leveler on mine... I am hoping it is reactive enough to keep it level in changing conditions and when load moves from side to side...

I would like to keep it simple and not splice into the lines, but for the life of me, I cannot see where the gap is, at least on my boat... Maybe I'll check in with GW...

Maybe mine is different, but I see no passage from the helm to the compartment below other than the rigging tube that the Binnacle control cables pass through - and there is certainly no room for multiple hydraulic lines... Maybe someone has some pics?

I generally see 1.5 -1.7 MPG at 3800 at 30 MPH on my 265 Express with twin 200 HPDIs...

What year is your 265? I'm not sure my round Yamaha gauges would clear the pump I have... I presume the pump fittings on your install are facing downwards?

Yea, would like to know more about you installation - water pump location, power, and how you route/locate the air intake/output...

I'm familiar with that area - I replaced the fresh water pump in that cavity a year ago... Looking at it today, there was no obvious way to run lines from that space to the helm... I noted a couple cables coming down from the starboard side, but the passage appeared quite narrow... How do you...

I'm installing a Lowrance autopilot, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out where to mount the autopilot pump... There is just no depth or heighth to the compartment behind the helm... Any suggestions?

I've seen a thread or two referencing this idea, but no confirmation that anyone actually installed an M5 or similar small AC unit in a 265 Express... I confirmed that GW never offered this boat with AC, so they had no guidance regarding a suitable approach... Only place that seems feasible...

I used the plexiglass doors as a template for a hinged starboard panel... Left side has a flush HDS-9 Touch, and the right side is reserved for another HDS-9 when I get the cash... inside the dash, I have a SonicHub and a subwoofer and amplifier... Works perfectly...

Did you do a sea trial? Suggest you get out with someone who has experience with the boat before you decide you have a problem... When I bought mine, I went out with a sales rep who walked me through how to trim that model appropriately... Once you get used to it, you'll have no problem...

I have a 265 Express here on the Chesapeake, and I had checked with La Porte's Products (https://www.ttopcovers.com) for a cover.... While they have covers for a number of GW models, they don't have one for the 265 Express... Looking to see if there's anyone in the Charleston area with a 265...
