    Survey for 2003 330 Express

    I have a 2003 330 and recently repowered (90 hours) with 4.2L Yamaha 250's - 15 3/4 - 15 Props. 4500 RPM - 31 MPH - 1.1 MPG. Top speed - 5500 RPM - 37 MPH - 0.7 MPG. This with 2 people, 95 gallons of fuel, full water tank. Not a speed demon by today's standards but meets my needs for...

    Replacing side logo 330 Express

I couldn't find them for my 03 and, as mentioned in prior post, I didn't replace them. I did locate a small 330 Express oval logo on each side of the boat, just above the middle cleat. I'm happy with the look

Refrigerator - AC Only or AC & Battery

When I'm on a mooring, retiring for the night, generator off - I will turn off the refrigerator. The refrigerator is a major power user, but I've had no problems turning off a cold refrigerator for 7-8 hours. I turn it on again when running or on generator.

    Troubleshooting Kohler 5E Gen set

Just because the impeller looks good, doesn't mean it's spinning. Dig deeper and take a look at the condition of the yellow drive sleeve behind the impeller.

Can't help - I store my gaffs under the gunnel.

    330 with F300 props

I used the same props that were on my 225 Yammies - SWS 15 1/4 x 17P on my new 4.2L 250's. I'm getting comparable mileage/performance with a little more "kick in the rear" on acceleration. The "bite" seems good - no cavitation issues. I'm getting about 5,300 RPM (40mph) at full throttle. I'm...

    clear bottom paint or sealant?

Your rant is excused - you're right! If you want to play - you've got to pay (I know!). Hey - our maintenance/operating costs are peanuts compared to the Viking, Hatteras, Bertram, etc. battlewagons!?!?!

Gents Who Service Their Own Reels - Drag Grease or Not?

Same as "kirk a". I have used Shimano drag grease as well - no problem. Very, very light coating is all you need. All saltwater reel drag washers upgraded to Carbon Fiber.

    ‘04 330 EXPRESS WRAP

Overall, I like the look and the color. Question - how's it going to hold up? It seems to me that the force of water on the lower edges (especially at the bow) would eventually lead to the separation of the wrap from the hull???

    release maintenance

Thanks for the service reminder. Like anything else on a boat, if it's metal and needs to move, slide, release etc. it needs to be cleaned and lubricated!

    Horn replacement on 330 Express

I changed mine about a year ago. I couldn't see any access from below. I worked from the top and tried to tuck the wiring in as much as possible. More wiring showing than I'd like, but working OK and I'm probably, the only one who sees the extra 1/2 inch of wire

    Marlin fresh water tank

The leak can be anywhere in the system so don't just concentrate on the big tanks. A leaky faucet (sinks, freshwater shower and cockpit shower/wash down), loose hose clamps, head water lines, hot or cold split water hoses, etc. can be causing your problem. There's evidence of a leak somewhere...

    Dinghy Davits for 330xpress

Unfortunately, I agree with Fishtales. I have a 330 Express in SoCal and spend some time at Catalina Island (30 miles away) for weekenders. I throw an Achilles Inflatable on my deck and have a stern mount for a Yamaha 4hp. Achilles OK as a shoreboat and for the grandkids to explore. I have...
