    My 228 arrived

Yeah Bodega has been rough also. I figure I'll be fishing next month, I'm still waiting for the poppet kit, the upholstery shop wants the boat for three days end of this month for fitting new enclosure and next week I'm having new brakes and bearings installed. I got over the idea that I had...

No: I need to get a heat temperature gun. They looked bad and one was stuck open. I did boil them and they both opened. Yeah I hope it's the poppet valve. It has a new lower unit seller said 30-50 hours on it and the new impeller/waterpump but that will be changed next if poppet kit doesn't work.

I changed both thermostats and it still set off the alarm in my driveway. I ordered a new poppet valve kit from Simyamaha just waiting for that now.

30 miles away. Spent half an hour on the phone with him yesterday seeing if he had the part? Unbelievably slow and then he put me on hold and lost the call. I called back and he never picked up.

I removed the poppet valve and it looks good not much corrosion in the port or on the spring. I guess I'll replace it? Any suggestions on what I should try next if the poppet valve replacement doesn't solve the alarm

I think the wash down will work now. I found to the rod and it was closed. I was looking for a Petcock yesterday not a rod to push or pull. The one for the live well was open and working. Both valves are extremely easy to open and close. As for the hard steering the previous owner installed new...

Well I've had the boat 2 weeks today. Most of you have read my other post here. The wife and dog took it up to Lake Sonoma today for our first time in this boat. First impressions. It towed so much easier then my other boats I've owned. My other boats were cabin cruisers and were much heavier...
