The last few years, I left the battery's on the boat and would periodically run the charger. The boat was fully covered and it stayed pretty warm inside. I'd leave them on the boat but don't leave the charger on.

Thanks. I contacted the PANDA folks about the oil screw and it appears if you overtighten, it can strip the threads. Bob in the service department is going to send me a new screw cap. Sounded like this happens sometimes. My guess is whomever did the service before may have stripped the threads.

I purchased a boat covers direct navy blue cover for my 272 sailfish for 800 or so and it works great. I purchased a 330 express this year and am considering buying one for this boat.

We replaced the thermostats in June so I doubt this could be the cause. What is the other Thermo sensor? A tiny bit rougher at idle up to 700 rpms. Anything over up to WOT, it runs great!

Thanks for the reply. I have always used ring free at every fill up and occasionally add more - usually once a year. There really isn't too much smoke but one does smoke a tiny bit more than the other. I took some video and will try and post it somewhere once I edit it.

Definately the low pressure pumps. Had the same thing happen. I would change those before doing anything else.

I would bet on the low pressure pumps. Easy and cheap fix (3@$35) plus 1 hour or less. If oil pump on reservoir, the one on the engine would run low.

Wingedpig - the red stuff should be fuel stabilizer. Unless you are running offshore and burning thru fuel every few weeks, it is a good idea to add stabilizer. I would also avoid ethanol fuel and continue to use ring free with every fill up. A little extra cost now, less problems later. As...
