Went offshore yesterday and everything was fine until we got to the dock. Port engine would not shift in reverse. The shifter was really hard to move on left. Other than that, both engines run fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have only used non ethanol fuel and have not had any problems. Change filters annually.

If you have not changed the VST filter and low pressure pumps, I would go ahead and do it now. Just a matter of time before a pump fails and it can ruin a day.

I have always used the premium plus oil at boat us. Never had any problems. Perhaps it's like premium gas ... I don't know but I'll keep using it.

I think it might monitor the small oil tank on the engine instead of the larger tanks. Had one of those oil pumps attached to the remote tank fail and engine alarm sounded. We were able to get home stopping and filling the tank on the engine a few times. Now we keep a one gallon jug always...

I use that mold spray from West Marine and it works great. I also invested in a good quality boat cover (boat cover direct) instead of the shrink wrap stuff which traps moisture. I also use the spray every now and then on the top side when I notice a bit of mold. I spray it before I hose off...

I don't know what system you have but I have a SeaStar hyd. System year 2000. We were having some trouble this past year and i replaced the seals at the helm. It would have been easier to remove it and do it on the bench but we got it done. Bled the system a few times and it worked for awhile...

If this boat checks out, you will love it. Make sure the fuel tanks and thru hulls are checked out. As for the ox66 motors, I have the saltwater series and the are excel engines. Start up every time. They just need TLC. Did the previous owner use ethanol fuel?
