    265 Express Fuel burn?

Have not ventured to the canyons- yet, but have been south of the vineyard to the dump as well as east of Chatham. Both about 40 mi from Falmouth. My boat is "Good Fortune". Let's hope for a short and easy winter so we can get fishing again!

    265 Express Fuel burn?

I'm in East Falmouth. The boat is great- layout, rough water handling, visibility. I routinely fish with four people for fluke, trolling for blues or tuna, sharking. Nice to have the engines in close to the transom when a bluefin is running around the boat. The deadrise was reduced for the...

    265 Express Fuel burn?

My '04 265 with F225s can get about 1.9 smpg at 29 mph. At 35 mph, I get about 1.6 smpg. I usually have about 3/4 full tanks and three people although I have not seen much difference with less/more weight. At trolling speeds, if gets about 3 smpg! Great combo. Hope that helps. Lucky-...

    Dual battery, dual motor wiring

I tried to post the wiring diagram from my Grady but attachments can't be done. The diagram is excellent- shows how a charger can be added, the bilge pumps, and you can start either engine with either battery. I suggest going to the Grady customer resources site, pull up a manual for boat with...

    Macerator Pump

Here's what I did on my 265 Express. Not sure if you have the room in your boat- I had to cut a panel to get access. Hope it helps. The pump is mounted vertically and it's on the left of the pic http://maceratorretrofit.shutterfly.com/pictures/9

    Article on Yamaha F225 Engines

At least there's now a big gun aiming at Yamaha. Maybe they'll get some resolution, but I'm not holding my breath. Stay tuned....

    head pump out troubleshooting

When I retrofitted my 265, I found the diptube for the pump out connection does not go as deep into the tank as the internal pump, so it takes more crap (literally!) in the tank to enable it to be sucked out.

    Moderator- can't post pictures

I tried to add a picture that was only 256K and it basically said there was no room for pictures. Reduced the size to 60K and got the same message. Looks like we can't post pictures?

Groco pump -simple macerator retrofit- 265 Express

Mine crapped out in my '04 265. I considered getting a Groco replacement but $500 for a lousy design was not appealing to me, so I looked for alternatives. After inspecting the arrangement, the first thing I determined was that better access was required- the existing 5 x11 hatch was...

New Grady owner here, and with first issues

I had very similar symptoms with the new to me 2004 F225s, which had not been used for 18 months prior to me buying it. Turns out the high pressure screen had enough crap on it (as stated above) to shut off the fuel to the pump at high fuel flow rates (but OK at lower speeds) plus the more...

Are there any differences thru yrs in the 265 Express

I believe there was a change in the hull between 2000 and 2004- the deadrise was reduced on the later models to increase stability. It's still reasonable on the 2004 and it handles rough water real well, but that is a change that was made. The 2004 also has a seat back on the stern facing...

    What 265 Express Upgrades?

You're right about reading about 4" HG or about 15% of full scale on the gauge for your engines, but that is fully manageable. My experience shows that a clean filter has almost no pressure drop and the gauge reads close to zero vacuum at WOT. If I see any pressure drop change, it will...
