    Tournament 19 Cover

What kind of cover are you talking about?

    Thru hull fittings value?

Bronze might be worth something - especially if the silly chrome plating is removed. Although not a pretty, bronze will outlast SS.

    Seafarer Throttle Problem

"Probably" not limp mode. For one, he would have had an alarm, right? But most importantly, limp modes don't go right to "idle only" - they usually still allow some RPM... at least from my experiences.

    Thru hull fittings value?

Depends. Are they still good? What are they made out of?

    Seafarer Throttle Problem

Take the hood off - the throttle cable and shift cable both connect on the stbd side of the engine. See if the throttle connector popped off. This will make more sense once you look at it - it's pretty easy to see what's going on once you're there with eyes on it. Next would be to see if the...

    Hard Water Spots

You can also get MUCH stronger vinegar at Home Depot. Regular vinegar is like 4% vinegar. This stuff is about 30% vinegar... don't let your nose get near it!!! As noted, gotta let it sit for a bit. If not, go to the 4-ott steel wool - although I personally use bronze wool simply because you...

    275 Freedom Sleeper seat cover

I have no idea - I heard he went down with the ship :) But... making that is a very simple thing. I'm not a pro and even I could do it! Look around for a local upholsterer - it will be a very easy job for them.

    Under helm see storage idea

Post a few pics - there's a couple of different styles and it's hard to say w/o knowing what you got.

    Seagull deterent?

If you can fab up a way to run a string about 6" off the hardtop and around the perimeter, they will never land. At the end of our pier leading to the ramp/dock, there is an archway (for lack of a better word) made of 8x8 lumber. They used to sit on the top of that and crap all over the end of...

OEM grady white 1990 seafarer 22 model 228g hard top with attachment poles/struts?

Great! I have one of theirs on my boat - I've had the boat for about 6 or 7 years - the previous owner put it on - I think he had it on their for a number of years. Still looks good! It's actually an "extended" hardtop that is about 3' longer than the norm - which I like.

    1986 Seafarer 226 stringer replacement

If you're current access is really good to the inside (probably is) then that's an easier replacement/repair because it doesn't have to as aesthetically pleasing. But then you're cutting around the stringers and up under the gunwales a bit? The outside, of course, is "easier" to do the actual...

    Rewiring 1984 Tournament 170

Skunk was referring the BACK of the switch since that's where the electrical connections (posts) are and that is what is relevant in a wiring diagram. Truthfully, even 8g is overkill for a small boat dash feed. Boats bigger than that use 10g. But of course it won't hurt to use the 8g... and...

OEM grady white 1990 seafarer 22 model 228g hard top with attachment poles/struts?

This. But for that era (age) of a boat, you'd probably be better off looking to the aftermarket. Check out Atlantic Towers - they have a couple options.

    Trolling for stripers

Hmmm. I'm going to make a note of that and try it next time!

    Trolling for stripers

The fish don't care what boat you're in or what engine you have :) I'm not sure of my exact speed - I sometimes change it up. But I tend to like those rubbery shad things (sorry, I'm not up on all the correct terms!). Anything that stays on top (or close to it) seems to do well.

    Rewiring 1984 Tournament 170

A fuse or breaker's primary purpose is always to protect the wiring. As such, the 30a should be mounted within about a foot or so of the battery switch to protect the wire (10g?) on the way to the dash fuse panel.

    Sea Deck

I'm very familiar with the SeaDeck (especially this brand) but more-so with regards to sport/luxury boats. So no real experience with how easy it cleans off after fishing adventures. I guess, regardless of how easy it cleans off... it's still not as easy a bare floor, though! BUT... if I was...

GW sailfish 282 2007 replacement trim tabs

It likely just needs a new o-ring... assuming you are talking about it leaking at the actuator? Otherwise, go right to the source (Bennett) and call them and see what kind of upgrades you do.

Quick question: Wireless phone charger - will it interfere with magnetic compass if mounted too close?

I think that's actually a function of the phone as opposed to the charger? I'm not real tech savvy, though. However, I Ieave my phone connected to it's wall charger all night... or while driving connected to the car even after it's charged. Zero issues... and quite honestly, never even...
