    My Sailfish had a similar issue in that ir would blow a fuse every time we attempted to use it. Turned out to be a couple of dimes caught in the maacerator blades. Removed the coins and not more issues with power blowing out.

    The 316 SS is the way to go. More mney but they look much after a year or two. I had a few of the inexpensive ones and they looked tarnished or spotty after a year in salt enviroment.

    I have the same Sailfish and I know your pain. a couple of years ago I tried to replacee my bilge pump and after several hours of going into the bilge head first I decided this job was worth farming out to the dealer. Good luck and congrats for getting in the pump out of the depths!

    Sailfish is very capable and the 30+ are even more capable and more comfortable. I have traveled all over Massachusetts including Nantucket in a Sailfish and have never had a concern about safety. Budget will generally help you decide which size boat is best for you. Good Luck!

    I had an 04 Gulfstream with an f225. It was a great boat. The 225 was respectable power but it would be better with a 250 or 300. Really depends on budget and more importantly these days, availability. Good luck you will love that boat!
