There are rubber covers that work but they love to grab tee shits. They are crazy expensive too. Soem people have covers made, some use a vinyl spray paint. I just use an off white pair on ankle sock and they work great. When they get dirty just thow them in the wash.

1994 Sailfish was rated for a max of 450 HP. Not sure what year they went up to 500.

Not sure if you are referring to the Marlin, Express or a DC but the cabin is much wider than 3 feet in the Marlin and Express. I have a 282 Sailfish and we have a golden retriever and all 3 can fit as long as the golden does stretch out :).
