Ready to go to Key Largo

That Evinrude thing is darn funny. You're right, slap an Evinrude decal on it and people run away . Lol. We got the mask thing down. We own two retail stores and have to do the dance ourselves.

    resealing hatch

Wow!!!! Is this your boat? If it is I would send Grady these pictures. There is clearly water intrusion and cracking. I love the Grady brand but I got to tell you , they do everything right with their layouts, the look of the boat and such, but man do they struggle with the transoms.

Ready to go to Key Largo

Got her waxed including putting Woody's on the bright work. Polished up the stratoglass too plus and this is the best part. I installed, with the help of my son , the world's best anchor!!!! I know it's too good to be true. Oh, I got a tip here a few years back on the rub rail. Doc Stressor...

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

Yes, yes it is doable. When Grady stuck the bracket on that hull they maximized every inch of that boat. The cockpit aft area is nice. Check one out and sea trial it and the 208 . Then decide I suggest.

    My Gulfstream

That boat is a beast!!! I wanted a Gulfy but my dealer kept telling me towing it 900 miles would be a pita because she is so wide. Fat bottom boats make the fishing world go around! That is a sweet boat. Congrats !

With ventilation the cuddy is no warmer than being under your hard top. We take naps in it while on the toll off of Port Canaveral in 90 degree heat. If the ambient air temp in the shade is 90 the cabin might not be any cooler than that unless you are moving with air flow through it then it...

Grady White - Help with Model Choices

Leeccoll, Do you ever take her to Lake Powell or Meade? Two years ago I was in your neck of the woods and went from Grand Canyon to Zion and went through Paige and stopped at an overlook picnic area on Lake Powell. I wish I had my boat with me that day I tell you.

Grady White - Help with Model Choices

Doc Stressor here has a 226. He loves the boat. I like the layout of the 228 and when we are in the Keys snorkeling the full swim platform is nice getting in and out of the water. There are pros and cons to each hull but you have to wonder why they no longer make the 226. Demand?

    Needing a little guidance

Y'all got more courage than I do. I have an airmar m260 shoot through the hull. Works great. You would think in this modern era that boat builders would develop a place , predrilled or something with plugs to mount thru hull ducers. Good job on your project.

Grady White - Help with Model Choices

My 228 has a factory installed back rest on the port side. The boat is a great 22 footer. My only complaint is I wish there was 4 inches more between the captain seat and companion seat. The boat is sea worthy I have taken her to places in the Bahamas and Dry Tortugas , so it's almost like...

I predominantly run on the east coast. I try to get to the Keys as much as I can..I have taken her to Panama City and over at Cape San Blas / St. Joe Bay. I have taken her to the Bahamas and Dry Tortugas, Pamlico Sound,Beaufort NC, Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, St. George and Charleston ,SC...

    2020 Grady White Freedom 215

Ah, new boat smell. I love me some polyester resin VOCs. I had a 192 and the bow was dry in most conditions I used the boat from the Florida Keys to the St. Johns River and her big lakes. I thought it was a drier ride than some 21 foot center consoles I rented in the Keys. I would fish...

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

Some say a cuddy is hot. I take my boat to Florida every year. While on the troll we sometimes pop the front hatch and nap in the cuddy. At 5-6 mph on the troll it's comfortable and you're in the shade. While on the reef we will open the side windows and maybe pop the hatch and its...

Are you buying used or new? If you asked between the 208 and 228 and running to the Bahamas, I would then tell you figure out a way to buy the 228. It is a bigger hull . I love my 228 and in few days I am heading to the Keys..it's a great Keys boat and we have taken it the Bahamas a few times...

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

You're sort of right. The walk around trough itself does allow water into the boat . It's not an express which does shed that water. Honestly, you're splitting hairs in comparing the two hulls. In 6 foot seas you're not thinking if you buy the smaller one ,man if I only got the 215 I would be...
