I replaced mine with a pair of Wise adjustable height swivel seats with the slide. I took the hardware out from under the existing seat posts......caulked around the existing holes with 5200.......screwed down a piece of marine grade plywood....just larger than the new seat bases.....then...

AS DRBatts stated....if you are concerned about the boats behavior while drifting...(I drift for sharks all the time in my 24 Offshore) then go for the wider beam. If I could change 1 thing on my Grady it would be to add 1 ft in the beam.
