    07 Sportsman 180 for Sale

It doesn't bode well when the seller doesn't respond to questions! :)

    Motor well drain tube

Eventually, sure. But the brass will get thin and eaten away over time, too. The plastic should easily last at least 10 years, though... and as I mentioned... it's much easier to replace.

    306 Replacement Ladder

Oh, sorry. I responded to your post - mistakenly thinking it was the OP.

    306 Replacement Ladder

Can you cut a small hole in the shrink wrap and then tape it back up? I'd still reach out to your dealer and ask them what the replacment is. Or try another dealer if the local one isn't so helpful.

    306 Replacement Ladder

I was waiting for you to take a picture of what you have to try and help. Your post comes across a little funny... you're wanting someone to spend time taking a picture of what they have and posting it, but you won't do the same? And, you're making an assumption that there IS a newer 306 owner...

Help with thru hull transducer placement

Don't take this as fact, but I'm wondering (after trying the setting adjustment that Hook said) if you're getting some turbulence because the two hull fittings are so close together... thereby not allowing the water to flow smoothly over the ducer fitting. Meaning, there's some turbulence being...

    Motor well drain tube

I would use, and have used, Lifseal. 4200/5200 will actually flex plenty enough for this application, but they are more of an adhesive than a sealant. They'll seal just fine but as Seasick mentioned, will make removal much harder. Sand the wood core to expose fresh wood and then saturate...

    Gauge and Switch Panel Seals?

I wouldn't worry about trying to get the exact same seal - that just happened to be what Grady chose to use. Other styles will work just as well. As noted, you should be able to find it locally. Mcmaster Carr is another excellent source with many options.

    Freedom 275 house battery

Yup - too much used. Lay a very small bead - put the sealant in a ziploc bag and cut the corner off if you want. Let it tack up a bit before install.

    Freedom 275 house battery

Not needed - the sealant won't be visible. Use it sparingly - don't need much. A little on any screw threads of screws that are exposed won't hurt, either. Again... sparingly. Truthfully, given it's location and design you don't even really need it all - but it can only help to use it.

Where to buy new bow stern eyes

OK, what is a "bow" stern eye? It's either a bow eye or a stern eye... the bow can't be at the stern :) Is there something wrong with, I assume, the stern eyes? Generally, those will outlast you.

2006 225 Tournament 225 Yamaha OB - Outdrive in Water

Home Team... you didn't mention if this is a new problem or has it always been that way (and how long is "always")? What type of OB mount do you have? Is it a hollow type mount with an inspection port and drain plug? If so, check for water inside it.

2006 225 Tournament 225 Yamaha OB - Outdrive in Water

Yes, definitely don't move weight if it negates the slight bow high angle of the deck. But there's a possibility that some weight could be moved forward if the boat is currently MORE bow high than it should be. Moving weight is an option - but it depends on where you're starting at.

2006 225 Tournament 225 Yamaha OB - Outdrive in Water

Any anti-fouling that doesn't have copper in it will be fine. Hydrocoat Eco, for example. But anything will be fine for this application. You could also try moving some gear further forward to counter the effect... or even adding some dead weight in the bow. Also, make sure you don't have...

Fishing line will make quick work of most of that. Plastic scraper or credit card, as well.

    Freedom 275 house battery

There should either be screws around the outer perimeter or the interior perimeter. They should be quite visible. Very easy to do - that whole panel should come out in about 5 minutes. I've never taken that particular panel out of that particular boat - but what I described is common. It...

Positioning Offshore 242 on boat lift

I'm reading through this and listening to what everyone is saying as I find it interesting -- I don't have the answer, though! ;) But....... regarding the guitar string... which, funny enough, is where my mind was going with this conversation... a guitar string doesn't change length, though...

Positioning Offshore 242 on boat lift

For the bunks, just get them as close as possible to the stringers without landing on a lifting strake. That's easy enough to measure. For the COG, I wouldn't get too worried about this, either. Consider your COG roughly at the spot where the pinstriping on the side of the boat (also the...

Mold normal inside console? 2021 GW Freedom 235.

Metal or vinyl? If metal, doesn't sound like original - gotta wonder why someone put it there... which also means it can be removed. So since the boat is new to you (that info helps because it may change answers), you don't know how the boat was kept or what was stored in there. I wouldn't go...
