On my Islander it comes up the rear tower leg. It then turns forward, comes out and back into the pipe and continues forward. It then pops out for a short run to the electronics box. Not sure where it originates but may be at the batteries.

It not designed to hinge up. It's too big! And it will never seal. How ofter are you in there? Just cleanup your bilge and caulk it down.

Look at the rub rail to see if there is any cracking. If the transom is moving or swelling you will get cracks under there too. Does the aluminum bang cap look swollen?

Anyone know of a flush cockpit drain that has a removable flared top? Too hard to get under to tighten from the bottom. I would like to tighten down from the cockpit with hose already attached.

When you pull the fill cap at the helm what level do you have? I keep a small bottle of steering fluid next to the helm. Every couple of days I top mine off. I have a tiny leak somewhere but I can't find it. If it gets too low I get slow to engage and the internal valves get "bumpy".

Fill both the engine and can fuel filters with fresh fuel. Probably should change the primer bulbs out too. Prime away! When you get the engines running they will do a great job getting the last of the air out.

Working on mine is extremely difficult. You have to kneel outside the head compartment, lay over the toilet and work one-handed. I'm a lefty so that helps.
