    228 dark blue body trim

If you have ever seen My Big Fat Greek wedding, the dad of Tulla answer for most troubles in life was Windex. In my scuff mark thread and now this one, DocStressor has now suggested acetone or products with acetone in them twice as a magic cure all for boats. Lol. When I get home from my...

In my vacation rentals with hardwood floors we use Murphy oil . perhaps it will work on the cherry or teak sole in our boat?

Removing a serious scuff mark on hull side.

Doc, Maybe you would! Lol. Just having some fun. It did strip the wax for sure but after waxing it up it looks quite good. Thanks for the tip, a lot.

Removing a serious scuff mark on hull side.

I got the scuffs off with a microfiber rag And then put 3M Finess polish. Then waxed the boat with collinites . the goof off did not harm the finish at all.

? How to clean area where electrical harnesses , perko main

I was noticing in the response to another post about hooking up a live well how clean that area of the boat is. I bought my boat in 2009 and other than removing debris , I have not washed the compartment under each seat with water. It has always been dry for us. So, is there a good way to...

Once upon a time in Grady White Factory far far away

I am heading to Fla to fish and for a wedding. I have been prepping, cleaning and readying the boat for the trip. As I was waxing her it struck me once upon time my boat was one of the larger Grady made boat if not the flagship. Think about that...there was a time when a 22 foot outboard boat...

    Depth sounder problem

Ditto. I once owned that boat and use Garmin products . I did not have that issue. I think you need to remove it. Run the boat at speed look down at the stern while somebody else is at the helm. Find a good spot where clean water is And reinstall there. Fill old holes with 5200 and or epoxy and...

Removing a serious scuff mark on hull side.

Went and bought goof off. It worked like magic, but I know it is science.

Removing a serious scuff mark on hull side.

Last summer while departing from the shell gas station on Key Largo an idiot, retired coast guard even, pulled into the gas bay as I was pulling out and came inside the turn radius of my boat and trailer. My boat crushed his Cadillac SVX or what ever mirror and my trailer fenders did a number on...

I am not Parthery, but I sometimes play him on the interwebs. That boat should top out with a 200 HP motor at WOT around 41-43 mph or 78 knots off the top of my head ;-). I suppose a dirty bottom will induce enough drag to slow her down some. Also, is 5,300 WOT for that motor? Most if not...

    Advice: Freedom 275 vs 285???

Not my money, ultimately not my choice. I would get the 275 based on your use needs. Are you using it on Lake Norman, Murry or Hartwell? I think a 27 foot Grady will more than handle anything those lakes will dish out in terms of waves and such though not lightning. Now if you said it will...

New to the Grady White family

Tom, I will be in the Keys from July 20 to July 31. We will heading to the Dry Tortuga's the 22nd to the 24th and then head back to Pennekamp for that week. We bring the camper. My kids love that place. Maybe if you are in the area we can say hello and I can check out the Atlantic.

New to the Grady White family

Tom, I am not a type A guy for most things in my life. I bought a Grady because they are over built. When I am 30 miles offshore my life and my crew's life are floating in my hands and on our Grady. If one or both of those F225s fails in the river or at the dock no harm no foul. Now if you are...

New to the Grady White family

Tom, Overall, the reliability of 4 strokes is almost to that of automotive engines. There is a timing belt that should be changed at 10 years or 1,000 hours. There are two VST filters that should be changed . I don't know Yamaha's hour recommendations for that one. I did mine at 750 hours. Now...

    Dry Tortuga's trip

Hey Guys: At the end of July I have a 3 day trip planned for the Dry Tortuga's. We are putting 4 our crew on the ferry and 4 on the Grady. I picked July as typically the seas lay down. It is crappy camping weather though lol. I know a few of you have made this trip and if you have any tips to...

New to the Grady White family

Congrats on your boat purchase and welcome to the family as it were. So I went to the gallery and noticed one of the boats there seems to almost a pilot house kind of style. Is it a typical walk around style like my boat or a Marlin or does it have a pilothouse looking configuration?

    Tackle door latch is stuck!

If you can remove it, then you can shake it turn it upside down, etc. Do that and see if what ever is preventing the door from opening gets moved around in a new position and voila...door opens?
