    Portapottie lock downs

18 bucks on an RV parts site. https://getrvparts.com/sealand-dometic-385310067-rv-toilet-rv-marine-sanipottie-latch-kit-parchment/ I removed my pottie on my 208 many years ago. It never was used:) It is in storage and I don't remember how it latched but I do remember there are some aluminum...

    new to boating-

Yup, the bigger the better. If you cut it too close, you may find out that the Grady spec didn't include some things like hard top mounted VHF antenna bracket:)

    1995 GW 208 Adventure

Around the time period of your hull Grady made some changes to accommodate the extra weight of the four stroke motors. One change was to add some forward ballast to help with the trim of the boat. If you look at the brochures, at some point the dry weight of the boat without motor went up by 200...

The bridge clearance is the height of the boat in the water . To that you need to know how high the water line will sit above ground when trailered. That is tricky to estimate accurately since that height depends on the type and setup of the specific trailer.

    330 Express - Next Gen 5.5

If that is the case, how would you deal with any warranty issues that require repairs? I think that availability of authorized service might favor a different product.

    Model number & manufacturers

Wait till the spring and then get more info on what the fixture is or isn't doing correctly. There are parts in most toilets that need regular maintenance and or replacement but the bowl itself is generally not one of them unless cracked. Is your toilet plastic or porcelain ( can last forever...

    330 Express - Next Gen 5.5

Does Next Gen have authorized dealers and possible installers? I would call and ask.

    330 Express - Next Gen 5.5

The 5.5 is supposed to be smaller than the 'competition' but I am not sure if that comparison holds true when the sound deadening enclosure is installed. It also looks like the pulleys are on the front that would face forward in the hull. I don't see how that makes it necessary to remove the...

Actually, that issue on a late model hull doesn't sit well with me.

I don't know what Zuk model you installed but it probably is the inline 4 cyl which weighs less that Yami 6 cyl motors and close to the original OX66 2 stroke.

    208 with F150 Prop?

That looks like an OEM Saltwater II Yami prop. The WOT range for that motor is 5,000 to 6,000 rpm. The question is " how well is that set up working for you" Or more importantly what do you need in your setup performance characteristics? Maybe you need a better hole shot and less top end speed...

Access to Back of Dash on Freedom 307

Take a look inside the storage locker in front of the helm, there may be a removable panel that allows access to the helm

    1995 GW 208 Adventure

I was going to mention that the extra weigh of the motor is not the only factor. Going out with a few decent sized fishing buddies will make the hull squat. So will a full tank of gas so if your trips are not very long, try to keep the gas tank level as low as is practical and safe. If you have...

Resolved!!! Was: Need help… Update: Reverse P-Trap in the Head Discharge??? Was: Holding Tank Question

On the bright side, if your valve is bad and you routinely use waste tank deodorant, you bilge may smell like air freshener:)

How to Access Macerator, Canyon 306

Based on your time delay, I suspect the motor is frozen, either shot or jammed. Good luck with your search:)

    1995 GW 208 Adventure

When heavier 4 strokes are installed on older 208 hulls, the scuppers may be partially submerged or worse, fully submerged. Flap type scupper valves tend to get stiff and don't seal all that well when the boat is at rest. Ball scuppers may help backflow at rest but they tend to get fouled...

Resolved!!! Was: Need help… Update: Reverse P-Trap in the Head Discharge??? Was: Holding Tank Question

The loop isn't a vent to the outside per se but rather acts as vacuum breaker. When there is lower air pressure in the loop it allows outside air to enter. That stops the system from siphoning sea water back into the holding tank. During normal pumping, it stays closed. If it isn't closed, two...

How to Access Macerator, Canyon 306

I would call Grady if no one responds. I assume that the head will flush OK but not the macerator that you use for overboard discharge ( in legal waters:)) That macerator usually is located in one of three different general areas; In the holding tank itself, on top or very close to the holding...

    First post!

If maintained reasonably, those motors are extremely reliable. On the down side, they are pretty noisy, not very economical and burn more oil than a lot of other 2 strokes. Maintenance is fairly simple too.
