We upgraded from a GW 192 to the 228 G equipped with a F250 and hardtop. I did notice a ride difference between the 192 which is a tad bigger than your current boat to the 228. I have never riden in a 208 nor have I seen one in person or at the dealer. I am 5.5 and have 3 kids from ages 8 to 13...

Mine does this at lower speeds and trimming helps as well using the tabs. We have a thru-hull ducer so it is not that. I have observed it is in that middle speed about 15-20 mph where it occurs the most. I will experiment next time on the water with trim of the motor to see where it is reduced.

I have been thinking about a sea anchor for safety and understand the deployment off the bow to keep it pointed into the wind/waves should we lose power. Could you explain how deploying it off the stern to keep a wave broaching the stern? As a side note to my question... I have long wanted...

This alarm went off on our boat when we were doing the final sea trial before delivery in April. In the F250 motor there were some faulty sensors according the dealer. They replaced it and have not had the issue since. Perhaps this is all it is?
