The guy that purchased my sailfish, towed if away with a F150. It will do it, but for how long.

On the Ford chart you posted, your truck GCVWR is 14,400 or 14,500 depending on wheel base. With everything loaded truck,boat,trailer,fuel,gear,people if your under that it’s legal. All modifications you do doesn’t change that number, just makes you feel better.

Didn’t say you couldn’t tow it , just get the weight so you what you’re dealing with.

When you get it all finished put it on the scale, no boats are the same.

What boat do you have ? My first Grady 25 sailfish with gear weighing over 11000# . Haven’t put the Marlin on the scale yet, but my truck can’t tow the Marlin with the cab over camper because of payload.

Truck weight plus boat and trailer with everything your going to tow, should not be over GVCW.

First was1994 25 sailfish , the second is 2000 Marlin.
