Anyone install an Intermittent Windshield Wiper switch?

Also, with this unit, no need to replace the 2 way WW switch with a 3 way. So, besides the time to wire it up, it's an inexpensive upgrade (a 3 way switch from GW costs about $28).

Anyone install an Intermittent Windshield Wiper switch?

Yes - the part Number for that website works - I just did the ole copy paste thing in the "keyword/search" box in the upper right of carparts.com. As to where to mount - good question... I'm planning to place it up above in one of my upper cabinets (in the hard top electronics cabinet)...

Anyone install an Intermittent Windshield Wiper switch?

As to the 3 way switch - exactly like what you have for your Navigation lights (all running lights OR Off OR Anchor light only). I think I now have a little project on my hands. Thanks for helping me think this through!

Anyone install an Intermittent Windshield Wiper switch?

The Push Button idea doesn't work for me since I now simply hit the On/Off switch once for the same efect. I want a true every 15 seconds or so intermittant wiper switch. I know I can pick one up at an auto parts store. So here's what I'm thinking: 1. Get a simple 12V intermittant switch...

Anyone install an Intermittent Windshield Wiper switch?

You know, like the one you have on your car? Looking for something that doesn't look like it came off a Buick Is there a Marine grade one out there? Curious why boats don't come with these for those days (many) when an intermittent wiper is needed. Thanks!

GPH burn for 22 Ft. Seafarer 228

I owned a 2005 228 with a F225 for three years and 550 hours. We usually ran the boat heavy with fuel, safety gear, water and ice and got a solid average of 2 MPG statute. If I was light, she ran at 2.2 MPG or so. When heavy, we cruised at 4,100 RPM's which was about 12 GPH and 24 MPH GPS...

    265 Express

The 265 is perhaps the "fishiest" of cabin boats ever built by Grady-White. This fact may be why GW stopped building them - too many people wanted more uses for the boat. If you plan to do alot of water skiing, there are many other good choices. For me - I use my 265 95% for Fishing and 5%...

    boat speakers

I just installed a pair of 6x9" Poly Planer 3 way speakers in my outside and very exposed cockpit. These speakers are advertised as "water PROOF" - I won't really know how water PROOF they are for another year but so far, I have no regrets. My previous speakers were only water resistant and...

    Yamaha F225 Problems?

Fact: The F225 has corrosion problems. Many can attest to this and pitures do not lie. Fact: Yamaha's #1 Customer is Grady-White. The sell more outboards to GW than any other single customer. If someone has the skills and initiative to launch a class action, please do so and we'll get...

    265 Express

JETI - Like you, I moved up to a larger boat. I had a 228 and wanted a Gulfstream but scored a beautiful fresh watered 265 with twin 225 four strokes. In my view the 265 is everything the Gulfstream is + "more"... Your biggest issue is FINDING a nice 265 out there as most of them are...

    Yamaha F225 Problems?

Fintango's experience is not unique... Tick, tick, tick -- I think it only a matter of time that many of us face the same predicament. This is a very sad but true condition in these V6's. And I read it before that FW flushing does NOT delay or prevent the corrosion from happening. The...

    208 vs 228 vs 232 vs 258

I had a 228 and earlier this year upgraded to a 265 Express. Some inputs: IMHO, the 228 is by far the best 22 footer made. Is a great desighn and has the deck space of most 25 footers. That said, bigger, and heavier, is always better but it comes with a cost (more fuel burn and some hassle...

    2006 282 Sailfish generator?

I too use the Honda EU 2000 generator and love the thing. However, I recommend you be VERY respectful of the oderless carbon monoxide that any gas engine gives off - especially when someone naps or sleeps on board. It's good to think of your boat as a "bucket" and the heavier than air and...

Still glad you "Got the Grady?"

Love my Grady-White. And, I love the fact the company has been around for 50 years (as old as me) and has survived this past year (hard to do). Great service and support which becomes more and more important at the boat ages. Equally impressed and super happy with the four stroke Yamahas...

    265 Owners

I upgraded from a 228 to the 265 and love it. Going from a Gulfstream to the 265 will be less of a jump. As to the twins, I find the forward and reverse thing to spin the boat is not effective. The best guy you should get feedback from is Tom (Gradyfish). He was super helpful to me when I...

    Seafarer 228 Weight

When I owned my 228, with a F225 and T8 kicker, I calculated my boat to weight about 5,300 lbs. full of fuel (I had the Aux. tank as well). I would think you'd want a two axle trailer, with disk brakes and a 7,500lb. capacity to allow for extra safety. Best to talk to an objective trailer...
