    STA-BIL 360

Question about gas that is treated with STA-BIL. How long will it extend fuel before problems begin? I topped up with non-ethanol fuel last October, added in the STA-BIL as well, and have not used my Seafarer since then. If I used that same gas this summer, will it still be OK? All the fuel in...

    228G, What do you think?

Agreeing with everybody that is advising Grady_Crazy to get the survey. I take that as a given. No way I would have bought my boat without one whether I can look at it myself or not. If any dealership has a problem with that, Run Forrest Run. ;)

    228G, What do you think?

If you like projects I would go for it. The fact it has a hardtop is great. Just make sure that the transom is in good shape. That would be the only deal killer for me. Good luck with your decision, Lee

    Cruising RPM's?

Great thread magicalbill started, I suppose I do not have to push my engine like the rest of you sea bearing sailors, but I like to cruise at 4000-4200RPM. I am frugal when it comes to fuel burn. Thanks for you that said you will push the envelope to get rid of carbon. A final thought on...

    Bracket leaking bad

Hi Roberth, Mine are permanently bonded to the bracket, the PO never maintained them, and I didn't feel like going through the effort of drilling and tapping them. Also had it powder coated while it was removed, so it is what it is in my case  Hope you are doing well!

    Bracket leaking bad

I pulled my bracket off a few years ago and sand and saltwater came a gushing out. I epoxied the bolt holes in the transom, then liberal amounts of 4200 to make a nice bead between the bracket and transom. After that, I filled up the bracket with light weight ping pong balls in case water ever...

    Spring projects...

That is unfortunate, Yeah, I paid $6,800 for mine. My old trailer had problems and to fix it was gonna be $3,200. And it was an old cheap Venture roller trailer, so I bit the bullet. That bid sounds fair to me for whatever it is worth. Basically brings it back to close to new. Used to live in...

    Spring projects...

I have a 2020 Pacific Trailer, was told will last 20 years with the right maintenance. If the frame is in good shape, I would fix and keep. If fame is not in good shape, I would replace with new.

    Scupper and Scupper Hose Replacement

The flappers are replaceable. I did replace both scuppers and hoses a few years ago. Upgraded to Attwood Stainless scuppers. https://www.amazon.com/Attwood-66553-3-Barbed-Stainless-Scupper/dp/B0000TX760

232 TANK REPLACEMENT: deck flange trimming & cross bracing

If you get someone to hold the shop vac while you cut or grind out the lip, it will help a lot. I used 5200 on my replacement, but to each their own. The hoses are super stiff, especially the fill hose. Just be careful you don't slide it in the bulkead and it goes on a new journey inside...
