Keep posting as you can~
I bough this solar charger and am very happy what it does. Batteries always have full charge, I leave the panel on my 228's dash where I can't see it and the wires are hidden.

If you want to add welt piping that Grady used around the perimeter, I have some extra in white color from my 228 rehab.
I am in Thailand now until late June FYI- (Long story LOL), but can ship you some early July.
Good luck with it!

Marine grade plywood, epoxy the edges and bottom where water can deteriorate it.
Then you can either paint or laminate a veneer of you choice on it to finish. I painted my with oil based enamel to match my trim.
Use the old bulkhead as a template to cut the new.
You definitely can do this on your own.
It is a messy job and you will get some battle scars though.
You can have a quality tank builder like Patriot Marine in New Jersey make you a new tank, and Grady White customer service will e mail you the diagram for the build based on your hull/year...
Looking good Ky,
You might have just cost me some bucks though, my hull is still naked and been sitting on the fence to add new bling after doing the same.
Well done!
Congrats Rlloyd!
Great model :D
I think it is hard to keep on plane below 3800. Becomes a tug of way as you found out.
Hope you have many great years with your new Grady.
I enameled mine with paint I had left over from another project. Resin then gel coat would look the best I think. Was in the same situation as you. Nice job so far. Update us down the road!

My '87 Seafarer had scuppers which were submerged much more that your, mostly from a wet transom. I decided to raise mine after consulting with Grady White.
I would say you are in good shape. ;)
