    Looking for a bow/anchor light

The mast light you are looking for is curved on my 228 to accommodate the hardtop/softtop. Don't see either on Norcoastal's vessel, so a straight one would work I would think.

Seastar Hoses for a 22’ Seafarer

Norcoastal is referring to the steering hoses I believe. Those copper ones are very old. Hopefully another 228 owner can measure for you, I am far away from mine right now or I would get that to ya. Good luck!

    Another Newb to the Forum

Hey Fuzz, Think you are in good company too!! Mr. Ky Grady, and the rest of us are here for helping out each other, and I will formally agree with him that we (I) like to poke a jab here and there to those members I am comfortable with. It's 2021 and social media can be a lot harder than...

    Rinse fuel tank compartment?

My '87 Seafarer had a plug and a metal link chain that was screwed into the coffin. I yanked everything out and left the plug out for good when I pulled the deck plates to fix the soft spots on them a while ago. I want the water/debris to drain from the forward bilge to the rear without...

    Blue Side Compartment Carpet

Norcoastal, Are your side walls where the carpet is installed flat? I had same issue with mine but the wall contour was rounded. No way to get an easy fix, so I just used dark grey dye watered down and a 6" paint roller to blend in and tone down the blue. The Brady Bunch blue ;).

    Side vent window latch

It is no longer available (part number) because it is "obsolete", but George @ Marine Glass Specialties purchased the remaining footage of that hinge from Taylor Made, so I ordered it from him. I tried Taylor Made first, and they referred me to him FYI. He has a special tool that fabricates it...

    Side vent window latch

The hinge is painted aluminum is my understanding. You are lucky if you have the hinge, it cost quite a bit to replace. I had to purchase a new one a few years ago.

    replacing gas tanks

I wish mine were as easy as Uncle Joe's to replace. It took me 1.5 days to wrangle the main one out, and had to make Sawzall cuts in the side of the coffin, and enlarge the 4" access hole to 6" to allow my hand room to maneuver. Here is the saga for more blow by blow...

    Hard water spots

Have bad water etching where I live. On boat and truck and in house too. Only thing I had luck with is light rubbing compound and heavy patience

    Rain water?

Plus one on debris in the PVC pipe between the 2 compartments. Easy for leaves, twigs, etc. to block the drainage.
