I tried this once....white paint becomes gray and dingy in a hurry and winds up looking even worse. Another thought - what's the rule on putting a lift in the slip? Jet Dock?

I've owned bottom painted boats for years and they have lived on the trailer at my house. It's not a deal breaker. If you are keeping the boat in the water 6 months a year it's better for the boat, anyway.

RDS built one for me for an '86 190 Tournament....they have plans and the one they did for me fit like a glove. I'm pretty sure it was a 60 gallon tank....

What hole is the motor mounted in? Are you trimming it out or running it all the way down? Are you measuring speed with a GPS?

Those covers will save your cushions, but the rest of the cockpit is exposed. I have cockpit and bow covers for my 225. I can cover the entire boat in 5-7 minutes or so, and the interior stays clean.

Maybe I missed it but what are you repowering with?

You really need to trim it up and see what happens. My guess is you will see 300-400 rpm and that will get you pretty close to the ideal wide open 6000 rpm. As others have said, how are you measuring speed? GPS?

Pray you don't ever need part #5. A couple years back, I needed it on a 225 OX66. Had to be cast and come from Japan. Took almost 8 weeks to get here.

Can you take a pic and post what the hinges look like? I went through the same issue....if yours look like mine I can tell you where to go (Taylor Made Systems) and the part number.

A beast for sure. I know you know this, but you could use a taller winch stand or a cow catcher or both.....the roller should be above the bow eye.

I’ve got the same truck minus the 3.73 gears (mine has 3.55) First time you hook the boat up and set off down the road you will think it’s a dog, until you lock out gears 8-10. Once you do that, and select tow/haul mode, it’s an entirely different beast. 5.0 needs to run above 2K rpm to make...
