Calling GW Model Experts- Which year is this 209 Escape!

Surprised there would be fishing gear in the rod holders that is still there after 4 years....does the lift still work to get the boat in the water?

    New GW decals

Your stock ones look pretty good KY. Why are you swapping them? I sent a note to the eBay seller today asking if he would be making more in the navy and gold. He said yes. So - readily available if anyone needs them. Those reg numbers look pretty good.

    A question about trailers

If you are worried about keeping the boat secure, a ratchet strap from the bow eye to the cross members will hold the boat in place for you to tow it to the ramp. The bow eye is designed for straight pull force. It’s not designed to support the weight of the boat. If your boat has the “bow...

    New GW decals

Stock is somewhere around 37” long and 3” high. Mine are off, but just a tiny bit. I probably could have buffed out the ghosting a bit, but I didn’t. Unless you get real close you won’t notice. The old ones came off with a putty knife in 2 pieces. Mineral spirits and a razor blade got the...

    A question about trailers

Don’t lift it from the bow eye. Leave the old winch stand in place and go find a ramp. Back the trailer in the water and let out enough winch strap to allow the boat to float backward a bit. Then pull the boat out and swap the winch stands.

Calling GW Model Experts- Which year is this 209 Escape!

If it doesn't run, high teens max. Figure you may have to spend $6K-$7K for a powerhead.

    Voyager 258 Fuel Burn

GW got rid of the recessed pockets for the tabs. Same thing happened with the CC which is now the 257. They also had to change the "Voyager" name because someone thought that a Voyager mini-van from Chrysler and a Voyager boat from GW could be confused.....

    Crazy mistake on my part

White marks lead me to believe it's concrete...maybe a cinder block? Or maybe you just forgot to tilt the motor up while trailering???? o_O

Catches for hinges - 225 Tournament Walk Through Windshield

Anyone have any idea where I can find these catches, or something like it? My walk through windshield (the center part) keeps coming unlatched and then the window pops off the hinge. I think these catches need to be replaced. Marine Glass Specialties doesn't return calls or messages. Taylor...

    Crazy mistake on my part

I'd leave a poor Yelp review for the manager. You know - zero stars. Seriously, we all run into it. I lost a brake hose...cut clean by brake debris. Didn't see it until I launched the boat and did a walkaround. And don't ever try to find one on a Saturday.... Glad all is well....

    New GW decals

The factory ones from GW are close to $500. $200 seemed like a bargain. But - yes - not cheap.

    New GW decals

If you have tried to find the legacy GW name decals, you have likely run into the same scenario that I did...namely that GW stopped selling them years ago. They, of course, have switched to the new slanted block style decal, and many folks have switched to that style. When I picked up the 225...

    Trailer Question re GVWR

A 5820 GVWR is unique. It probably has (2) 3500 lb axles on it which gives you 7000 GVWR. Subtract the weight of the trailer to get the carrying capacity. A tandem trailer in aluminum will weigh anywhere from 900-1100 lbs in that size range. In fact, a number of manufacturers sell 7K GVW...
