    A question about trailers

I’d reconsider aluminum. Our roads are bad here too. I’ll never own another galvanized trailer. So much less maintenance. I can tell you that the 7K Float On I bought in April, with Deemaxx SS calipers on both axles, LEDs, Torsion, all SS hardware, radials, spare and spindle mount was a fair...

Sadly, this story plays out over and over again. Dealer is helpful and engaging until the taillights disappear around the bend. Then they don’t care. GW is very proud of their CSI and they have, on more than one occasion pulled the franchise. If you aren’t happy, maybe a phone call to NC...

    Replacement Horn Cover

Boat Outfitters will make you one out of starboard in the GW almond color. Suggestion-have then do the cutout for a single flush mount horn so you can use it again when the horn goes out. They don’t last forever.

On mine, the bracket and pump are assembled together....remove the 4 screws and it comes right off.

How far are you from Lodi? Wright Motors Marine is a 5-star dealer...probably bigger and can help you. Yamaha's west coast warehouse is in Cypress...so anything ordered should be able to be received in 1 day. Use this link and look for 5-star dealers or dealers with a master tech...

It's one piece. Pretty sure there are at least 2, maybe 4 screws holding it to the inside of the transom. I can see one on the left side....

Boats.net is worse. I won't use them again. Do you have a local dealer you can patronize? I've started buying locally....he gives me a discount if I pay cash or check and I walk out with the parts...if he has to order them they come directly from Yamaha and he gets them in a day or two.

Got it.... That's either the washdown or livewell pump. Not a filter, although it looks like one.

If replacing the poppets doesn't fix it, you probably are back to dropping the lower to see what the water pump looks like. It may not have been installed properly.

Not sure why you can't upload the pic, but I sent you a PM with my email. If you email me the pic I'll upload it so we can figure out what it's for.

The roller should be above the bow eye. To date, I've not had a problem with the anchor getting hung up on the roller. If you think that's going to be an issue, then you can always go the cow catcher route. I think you are on the right track to just replace the winch stand. Figure out how...

Pighunter, I'm also 6'3". More often than not my feet are on the front of the icebox/well that the pedestal sits on. Regarding the steering, it sounds like you have air in the system. Get it purged and see if that helps. Did the previous owner replace the helm, the seals, or both?

3-2-1 contact was a good one too....I remember my 6th grade science teacher giving us extra credit if we watched. Under normal circumstances I float mine up to the winch stand as well. However, when I was working through my quit/no start issue, I did have to winch it all the way up twice. I...
