95 psi is low for that engine. If I remember correctly, a 225/250 ox66 should be more like 115/120. Check your compression again or have your mechanic do that first before you start throwing money at it.

I would get a second opinion. As beefy as those things are and with 4 main bearings, I don't see how you could possibly bend one.

I think it's gelcoat. Look how thick it is as the top edge. Paint wouldn't build up like that unless you did 75 coats or had a ton of runs. If you can't get a straight answer about what is doing on there...backed up with photo documentation and/or receipts for repair work...walk away.

FYI - The flaps won't do anything to prevent water from coming in when the boat is at rest. Their primary function is to prevent water from being forced in through the scuppers when reversing.

I would like to sell the hatch and adjuster together simply because I'm trying to get rid of stuff. I know that if I sell just the adjuster the hatch will end up in the garbage and I had to do that to good parts... Make an offer on what you want. Shipping would be from 20685.

Those transom straps are a joke. On anything over 18' or so I will only use a ratchet strap over the gunnels. My old 25' Sailfish got a 10,000 ratchet strap over the stern to hold it down, and smaller ratchet strap to lock the bow eye down to the trailer.

Looked in the basement last night and didn't find it. I'm 99% sure it's up in the top of my garage. Will try to put eyes on it tonight.

I might have that hatch adjuster in my stockpile of parts at home. I'll try and remember to have a look sometime this week.
