Thx Hoon! I'll go fetch boat tomorrow and bring her home to yank out old transducer and go from there. My HOA and neighbors love it when my vessel is out front. o_O Thanks for taking the time to walk me through this. Helps me out alot man!! I think the old transducer is a small od, there...

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

Looks like there is a way to work both aerator and washdown with a dual port livewell pump and a washdown off one seacock. That's if I am interpreting correctly. Break out another $500

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

I don't have any pick ups on my hull, only a drain hose that go to the thru hull. There IS an old thru hull transducer that was never removed, but not in use. Sits right beside the bilge pump so in theory I could yank that out and put the pick up there, hoping the od is same size or smaller...

98 Adventure needs dash update! Need help

Different hull, but I ditched both acrylic covers for my 228's electronic box and dash gauges. Not enough room for VHF anywhere so bought an updated (oversized lol) one and mounted on dash, others have moved it into cuddy. Contemplated that too, but to each their own. Made cover for Humminbird...

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

Thanks Hoon, Now we are getting somewhere. I never thought about the taste of the catch on ice vs live. Mostly because the water temps are 50 degrees at surface right now. I am practical by nature, so skipping ice made it easier for me, but I'm okay icing down if I decide to keep something for...

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

No Skunk, I would have to add a seacock below waterline, something I don't think is worth it for my needs.

Mine is an old set up. No frills, just a drain at the bottom. Nice baits!!

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

Freshwater fish.... That makes sense, hence when I keep draining and adding they seem to do okay. Lot's of poop as well! Water in the Alpine lakes is plenty cool, so that's no issue. Thank you!

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

Yeah, was thinking of something more permanent, will probable just keep draining then adding H2O.

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

Have a question, My 228's rear center baitwell doesn't have an aerator or pump. I only use it to keep fish that I catch alive if I feel like taking a few home to eat. I currently fill it up using my Homer bucket. They of course die from lack of oxygen in a few hours. Could an addition of aerator...

Fuel Tank material for 265 Express and 232 Gulfstream

I just changed my 87 Seafarer out last summer. It was not yet leaking, but very close as it was very corroded. Most say average is about 13 years, and obviously it like many things "depends".
