How many folks here have met in person?

Posted a couple in Fishing Reports section Russ. Was trying real hard to get Lite Tackle to let me post a pic of him that I took, he wouldn't go for it as he has minimum quality standards I couldn't quite meet

    Bay Area Fish Report

Just back from a great fishing trip! Would like to give a shout out a great thanks fellow member Kelly a.k.a Lite Tackle for hosting me both at his house and on his boat. He's a fisherman's fisherman. Let me use his gear, made me some great meals, taught me some Halibut fishing techniques, and...

How many folks here have met in person?

Funny timing, I am packing up my bags right now, gonna drive 3 hours and stay tonight with fellow member Lite Tackle and go out fishing together tomorrow for Halibut in the SF Bay. Hoping to meet big time fisherman JJMag during my stint there as well. Just don't tell LT that I snore ;). Lee

    Help with help ( suggestion)

Totally agree!! Reason why I started posting is to gather valuable information on the topic, and leave that for those who need it down the road. Edit: There is no good reason not to check spelling in the subject line as well. Since we are not standing face to face, typed words do the talking...

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

Things are starting to show up for my project. Decided on a quick hose attachment for the new washdown. Will start working on installation next Wednesday I hope. My truck is in the shop until then, and can't legally tow with the rental I have so I can work on things at my house. Hope all Grady...

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

Amen to that. I'm already over $900 on parts needed....things just keep sneaking up. I would rather spend money upfront wisely than $500 poorly. Bites you in the ass quickly. Been there done that

    Donner Lake

Of course Doc, The boat ramp is a pleasure to use. Poured concrete, nice drop to launch, and padded docks are a treat compared to Pyramid. I'm catching them on the bottom between 140-200'. I like 150-160' the best. I pick a flat spot so I can aggressively keep the lures 3' or less off the...

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

Ordered the exact same just now 2nd day air from iboats (have a few fishing guests coming to visit next month, they would not like a boat full of water). Looks solid :)

    228 Baitwell Aerator Addition

If I never have to go "bilge diving" again, I'd be OK with that. Drove over to boat today, yanked out old transducer. Thank God for a full charge on the dremel tool. Cut off the nuts inside the hull, then used it under the hull to get the bronze screws out there. Gelcoat is toast where...

Evidence of a fire on the fuel tank?

So one thing that I found on my coffin to bilge drainage is a PO put a stop on the last drain pipe before the bilge. The drain pipes are dead centerline on the hull in both coffins. Pulled it out after finding this out when I pulled both floor hatches to fix the soft spots. Doubt this will...

Evidence of a fire on the fuel tank?

No ideas, but mine had similar damage on my old tank prior to replacement. Figured the boat didn't blow up so I didn't sweat it too much. Probably some welding is what I assumed. As for drainage, all the compartments will gravity drain into the bilge.
