    2006 330 Express-Aft Transom Drop in Box.

If it like my 2007 330 box, it isn't symmetric, but a weird L shape, so you'll need a sample to mold a new one.

    EPIRB's

Take it from a retired USCG rescue pilot, in my opinion, it is the second most important piece of emergency equipment you can have aboard. PFD's being #1. No matter how far offshore you go, a PLB takes the search out of search and rescue and provides immediate notification of your distress to...

Converting refrigerator from dc to ac/dc

On my 2007 330 the fridge is an Isotherm Cruise 65 model # 1006502 and is AC/DC. Still works good.

Converting refrigerator from dc to ac/dc

I'm surprised. My 2007 330 has a fridge that is either AC or DC. Short of replacing with one like mine, you'll need a rectifier with adequate capacity to change AC into DC. Essentially the same as a a battery charger, but dedicated to power the refrigerator via DC. Not too expensive, but...

Repower to Suzuki 300’s need pros/cons

Just an observation. USCG only "certifies" boat's capacity plates for boats less than 20' in length. NMMA has their label on plates for larger boats and is not required by federal law and not USCG certified. Those are developed in conjunction with the manufacturer. Exceeding the capacity...

    Superstitions

We actually hid bananas on competitor boats during a tournament years ago. Didn't seem to work as I remember. More of a fishing thing than general maritime thing. May not apply to crabbing in the Bering Sea! We're not real superstitious, but why take a chance! No bananas on our fishing...

Should I add power steering assist to 2019 freedom 285?

I don't have that on my 330. If your engines are properly set up, the hydraulic system is well bled and the vertical shafts are lubed, you might not want the expense. A helm knob such as the Edson knob helps a lot in making more rapid corrections while docking. There are times at higher...

    Deposit on Canyon

I made storage for up to six months a part of the negotiations when I bought a boat, waiting for a lift to be installed. If they are brokering the boat, they have skin in the game. Storage doesn't cost them anything really, unless they are oversold.

    Dead raise

I assume you are asking about deadrise at the transom. Deadrise typically varies quite a bit from stern to bow. That said, knowing the deadrise at only one point is not too informative. If you are strictly interested in the deadrise at the transom, those numbers would best be determined by...

Garmin reactor 40 auto pilot location

How did you determine the CCU was bad? Could be the cabling. Also I have had a RayMarine heading sensor in that same location since new in my 07 so that area remains mostly dry. Good luck!

Garmin reactor 40 auto pilot location

Take a look at the diagram on page 2 of the installation manual. The ECU must be within 19 inches of the pump. It is the actual pump controller. The CCU can be anywhere down low and centerline. That is where the auto pilot gets it heading information. The only Nema 2000 path is from your helm...

Garmin reactor 40 auto pilot location

You can pull it out far enough to have access to behind it and it will hang from all the wires and get out of your way. There is a piece of plastic that covers the AC side of the panel that sometimes gets hung up look behind there and you can get access behind that panel there are buses and...

Garmin reactor 40 auto pilot location

yes, my 2007 has about 8 screws. I had to remove the entire panel In the cabin ( just above the entrance to the aft cabin) and found several components. It is also how you get to the Electronics box actuator ( up and down ram). Remove all power and the panel can hang on wire bundles.

Garmin reactor 40 auto pilot location

Make sure to look way down at the bottom, behind the cabin electrical panel. Mine is down there and very easy to miss. You can also see the bottom of the pop up electronic box from behind that panel. Good Luck!

    2000 300 Marlin U.S.C.G RATING

After further research, I found that boats up to 26 feet, although not required by law, may have maximum capacity labels but they are not technically certified by the US Coast Guard. Boats 20 feet and smaller must have US Coast Guard certified capacity labels. 27 year Coast Guard veteran, but my...

    2000 300 Marlin U.S.C.G RATING

Good question! My quick research showed that the code was 20, but I too am aware of vessels over 20 that have a capacity plate. It could be manufacturers can certify over 20. Don’t remember seeing any over 26. Prior to my looking into it I thought the limit was 26 feet, But I couldn’t find any...

    2000 300 Marlin U.S.C.G RATING

Boats larger than 20 feet do not have nor require capacity plates. US Coast Guard only requires and calculates capacities on smaller vessels. Your marlin does not have that requirement.

Electric panel for an 2004 330 Express

If you are referring to the digital multi meter display, mine is a blue Sea 8247 multimeter. I had to replace mine after about 10 years. It would go out in cold weather, but Worked ok when it was warm. 2007 330. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-Digital-Multimeter-Alarm/dp/B01LZ9LRXN

Electric panel for an 2004 330 Express

Consider fixing your lights. Could be a single fault in your panel. A good electrician can probably repair it. Much less costly!
