    Floor valves

Those "seacocks" appear to be bronze with marelon fittings top. Seasick is correct about the hose clamps and he means the tightening screws should be opposite each other and not on the same side as in the picture. Easy fix. If the seacocks operate smoothly, they may be just fine.

    Replacing onboard charger

I talked to engineers at Promariner and they recommended a separate charge lead for each battery. Therefore a 3 bank charger would be, in their opinion, the recommended size for your setup. I have four batteries, two in each bank. They recommended a four lead charger, but said a two lead...

    Windlass

On the 330, it would be except that the control circuits (dash and foot switches) are not powered when the batteries are off. There is power to the relay at all times, regardless of battery switch position, unless the dedicated windlass breaker is tripped. Can't say about other boats.

I have both touchscreens and buttons, touchscreens can be very difficult when it’s rough even when dry.

    Replacement rocker switches

New wire marine! You can just change the covers and they have them all for a very reasonable price. Great service!

    Windlass

Most windlasses have a relay to handle (switch and reverse) the high current load. For the 330, that relay is located in the anchor locker and is totally separate from the windlass itself.

    Fish finder ideas

Look at Garmin 94sv at GPS City $750. I found mine for $699 on sale with GT-51TM. I really like mine, but transducer placement is critical. 9" was better for my old eyes.

330 Express Forward Bilge Pump Fuse Location

I had a similar problem and discovered that my pump was just sticky and would work after it was spun by hand. However, after it had been unused for some time it would stick again and not start. I sprayed the impeller shaft area with silicon spray and that lasted a few months. Finally I just...

Having trouble identifying Yamaha multifunction gauge part number

I didn't mention anything about a red ring falling off? That must have been jbjitsu. I test mine with the bowl empty. The sliding ring sets off the alarm. Also mine will not put the engine in limp mode, as I have had warnings underway with only the alarm. Mine did fail to alarm once, but I...

Having trouble identifying Yamaha multifunction gauge part number

Maybe my filter bowl is different, but if the electronics measures conductivity to set off the alarm, why does the alarm sound when I turn my bowl upside down and the ring slides to the top of the bowl? I surmised that the ring was either magnetized or ferrous and it's movement was sensed by the...

Having trouble identifying Yamaha multifunction gauge part number

If your engine fuel filter has a water sensor it will have wires coming out of the bottom of the bowl. Each time I change that filter (2006 F250s) I empty it, check for water, turn on the ignition key (do not start) and then turn the empty bowl upside down which slides the red ring and sets off...

    Replacing Canvas Strataglass

The parts in my pic above do swivel 360 degrees. They have no prongs thru the canvas. I think you are looking for SailRite item 104803 and 104804 which is a rivet type connection like mine or you can ask A&J where they get their part.

    Replacing Canvas Strataglass

Those are the same fasteners I have on my boat. I am attaching pictures of my set up. I think they just do not clamp them as tight and it allows the strap to swivel and connect to the secondary stowing attachment.

    Replacing Canvas Strataglass

Yes those would work fine. A&J Canvas in NC, the OEM folks for GW use a padded sunbrella strap that stows away neatly and has special padding to prevent any scraping of the strataglas. Leaving them hanging will wear marks in your strataglas. I think using strataglas straps would cause...

330 Express Forward Bilge Pump Fuse Location

There is an aft bilge pump at the stern, next to the transom, and centered on the keel. It is accessible through the pop out cover in the transom motor well. The pump at the top of your pic, in the plastic box, is for the shower sump. It has a separate switch on the DC panel and is automatic...

    Cracked aluminum on hardtop :(

All the ones I see seem to originate at a weld. Argon or helium atmosphere may have been compromised or the weld cooled too fast or just poor quality welding Once it starts at a weld then it can grow unless stop drilled.

New electronics on my Marlin installed - question

Thinking about 1242xsv for my 330. Do you have the transducer make/model # ? Be very interested in how your side scan works. Thx!

New electronics on my Marlin installed - question

Did you get the xsv model? If so, where did you mount the transducer?

Yamaha Exhaust bubbles at Idle (F250s)

I have a pair of 2006 F250s, one bubbles at times, one doesn't. The one that bubbles had the midsections replaced at 250 hours, now they have 1000. Not sure why! Both scoped with very little corrosion. Run great!
