My engine was a 4.2L from 2018. Were you looking at the 3.3L engines?

    NizPro ECM Flash

I repowered a previous Grady with a 4.2L Yamaha F225. It was the mechanical throttle/shift type and I had feeling I wasn't getting full throttle on the engine. I finally took it to Cannon Marina on Longboat Key. They put it on their computer and they gave me a printout showing that the butterfly...

Pee hole water very hot Yamaha 250

Be aware that 140 degrees will burn your hand. The Yamaha thermostats should begin to open at 145-148 degrees, if I remember correctly. Might be worth pulling out the stats and testing them to make sure they are not corroded and frozen closed.

    Deck access plates

When I finish washing down the boat after a trip, I remove the deck plates. If there is any water on top of the tank, I use my leaf blower to blow the water off the top of the tank, then leave the plates off to dry. I keep the whole area around the fuel sender and hose connections coated with...

    Deck access plates

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I remove all mine in the cockpit after every trip to let things dry out.

    2003 marlin repower

I would go for the Hondas also, especially given your dealer situation. The Coast Guard had good luck with them.

    Lower unit stuck

The predicament Dennis finds himself in should be a heads-up to us all that there is more than an impeller change as a reason to drop the lower unit periodically and to grease the hell out of the splines on re-installation.

    Lower unit stuck

I agree, that video reminded me why I don't like those marina hacks working on my boat unless I'm there to stop some of their bullshit. Like driving steel chisels between two aluminum components. Holy crap!

    Lower unit stuck

If your old OX66 still runs good and is still peeing good. I would grease up the bolts, tighten them back up and run it till something actually breaks. Those are really tough engines they say, so to purposefully do things to it that are going to require who knows how much money and time to make...

    SCAMMED

I just got another message that I think is bogus. It's a message on my thread on "For Sale" called "Want to buy overboard pumpout". You will see though, instead of a private message the guy responded on the board. He only has 3 posts on the board.

    SCAMMED

In my case, Thomasrob4 started a direct message to me, giving me the email of his friend. I sent a query to that email asking for details and some photos and never got a reply. I got suspicious and looked at Thomasrobs history on Great Grady and found it was like his first post. At that time I...

    SCAMMED

Sorry to hear that. I had the same thing happen when I put a want to buy ad on here. The same guy sent me that same email address saying a friend of his had what I was looking for. I emailed back with a question about just what components he had and a picture and......silence.

    Slow Fueling

I agree that there are dangers involved with fuel vapors in the bilge of boats, especially since some electric components are wired direct so turning off the battery switches don't power-down the boat. Everyone should, before opening their fuel tank, remove the battery ground wires/cables at the...

    265 Express Fuel line replacement

Max, You didn't say whether you are the original owner or not but if your boat has had previous owners, there is no way to know what type of restraints or the positioning of the restraints on the fuel lines. Even different riggers in the same factory will put hangers, supports and ties in...
