Are you getting your MPH from your GPS or from the speedo? The speedo pitot on the front of the lower unit may be clogged. A tiny drill bit or piece of fishing wire leader will clean it out. GW performance numbers always seem to be a bit optimistic....that said, my 225 (same hull, different...

You are lucky. Older 225 owners like me with dual batteries have to remove the oil tank to get the port side battery out. A nuisance and if the oil tank is full, messy.

Who is the trailer builder? Have they told you they don't have them? If you call GW Customer Service (252-752-2111) they have a spreadsheet with all the measurements of the boat and the recommendations for trailer capacity. They will happily email it to you.

The Anco 52-16 is also available at NAPA - under there part number. I've never paid more than $10 or so for one.

I've done it in my 225 with both acrylic and starboard. Both have their advantages. Remove the door and make a piece of cardboard as a template, if necessary.
