    2006 Marlin

They did my boat last year. The guys names are Troy Woolard and David Nelson, Grady White sent them down to fix my 2007 Marlin. I had two cracks one on port and one big one on the starboard side. Real nice guys, did a super job, and cleaned up after themselves. Phone 252-946-9979. 376...

    Looking for correct pedestal bushings

I had to replace mine one the Seafarer and Sailfish, got them from the Grady dealer the first time but found them at a Marine store in a catalog the rest of the time. Those plastic runners do not last more than a couple years. Try calling a couple marine wholesale places I would bet you could...

    AC Units for Beginners

On my Sailfish the a/c uno was under the forward compartment of the V berth. Not sure where your's is but there is a reset button on the unit, I have had to reset the compressor not only on my Sailfish but also on the Marlin. Where is your a/c unit located? If under the V berth like my old...

272 Sailfish Aft Bilge Tubing Replacement

I had a 272 before I got my Marlin. I had to remove the livewell to get access under it. On my 272 the remote oil pumps for the oil tanks were located under the live well. It was not easy but doable to get it out. Besides removing the screws I had to cut the live well tank insulation on the...

    Kicker motor for Freedom 255

I had a kicker om my Seafarer years ago, it was a 9.9 it worked great. The key will be the bracket you put on her. I agree with Fishtails, peace of mind is a good thing.

    Bilges for Beginners

I would NOT disconnect my bilge pumps from the batteries UNLESS you will stay on the boat looking for water intrusion. Do not leave your boat without the bilge pumps operational. Too many disasters could happen.

    New Grady Early Spring Survey

I had a friend who use to talk about what he would do if he won the lottery/mega millions. I always asked him if he bought ticket......the answer was always not yet. I said, well, your chances of winning the lottery are very slim, but your chances are ZERO if you don't buy a ticket!

    New Grady Early Spring Survey

    RAMP DISASTERS

On some Sunday afternoons the Admiral and I would take our lawn chairs and a cooler of beer down to the ramp and watch the idiots launching and trying to recover their vehicles and boats. It was a hoot! As the Duke use to say "you can't fix stupid".

Opinion on Sailfish 282 From Owners?

Opinions are like arm pits, everyone has two: Here is mine - I have owned both the Sailfish and the Marlin. The Sailfish was a great boat, but the cabin was not very comfortable for the Admiral and myself. In fact she said one morning while cooking breakfast "you know we would have a lot more...

Anyone sleep overnight on a Marlin 30

The admiral and I spent several days on our Marlin on a trip to the Keys from Panama City Beach, then more than a week at Longboat Key Marina while trying to get back from the Keys due to bad seas. We were comfortable, but had the A/C running on the return leg as it was much warmer than on the...

OFFSHORE 24 SEATS TOO LOW/ BAD VISABILITY

Or you can do what we did and replace the posts with 12 inch. It works great for us on the Marlin as we wanted to be higher up for better visibility. See the posts and pictures by Ifish.

300 marlin hardtop and cockpit measurements

I have a similar setup for my 07 Marlin. What I had done was put an aluminum runner under the aft part of the hard top which the sun cover slides into and goes back to two 6 foot aluminum poles in the aft rod holders. I could give you the measurements of the sunbrella cover if that would help...
