Now that it's in the water and my fishing gear is on board, room is fading quickly. I have to make more use of the under cushion areas.
On a side note I noticed my speed does not read on the gauge, anything to look for?
Russ I feel the same way, spent all I had on the boat, can't do transom this year. My cap was pretty beat up, I sealed it with 4200. Yes it may need a rebuild in the future , but damn, I'm going to enjoy it this year!
I'm with Fishtails on this one. Transom cap will have to wait. I sealed it up with 4200, if I ever replace the motor, I'll deal with it. Mine looked like yours, transom solid, but beat up cap.
As for as screw holes, just patch them yourself.
Ok guys I'm ready to launch the Salty Dog Monday. I installed the Pro Mariner charger today and checked the bilge pump. Those were my last 2 things to do.
Stripers are running and hopefully I'll be able to post some photos.
Got a few questions for you Seafarer owners:
1- Replacement latches for...
I would go in order, Fishtails, Russ. BTW, Russ has his hands full with the new ride, he has no time to read :D
Sign the inside cover, or wherever I did. Enclose a business card. I think I sent one. If not I will.
Added a 3 Rod Holder to the drop down cutter board. I have a few questions:
1-Where can I get new latches for the drop down cutting board or what can I replace them with?
Also I want to mount the charger in the batter compartment but I'm try to avoid drilling/screwing into the fiberglass...
Russ,
When I took all my decals off there was definitely shadowing from previous letters. Hell they have been on there 13 years. I expected that. But the new one look great too.
Mine are a bit obnoxious but they are only stickers, and I can't see them when I'm in the boat.:p I went with 7" high...
Added 4 rod holders to the Bow Rail. 2 at the beginning and 2 forward. Will get better angles when I see the rods in the water, but they should be pretty close. Also adding the white 3 rod holder to the fold down cutting board tray at the stern.
Ok thanks, I removed it the hose from the filter to the motor, it says premium marine grade fuel sae j1527 USCG Type A1 ISO 7840.
The small hose has no marking except a purple stripe. I'm going to go to the Marine Service shop tomorrow and get the parts.
Thank You Everyone.
Well going through the boat today I noticed the primer bulb was really hard and dry, also the hose that feeds it from the filter and the line going to the motor. I want to replace all 3 of these before I splash it next week.
I measured the hose from the filter to the bulb 3/4"? then the bulb to...
With only 4 rod holders on my Seafarer I thought about putting a 3 or 4 pole rack on the fold down cutting board table on the 226. Has anyone done this before? Have photos? Or is there a better place?
Thanks,
John
So my new to me Seafarer will be in a slip this year, is there a factory installed on board charger or was that an option? I haven't yet dissected the boat to find everything yet.
If there is not one, where have you guys installed them? Photos?
Thanks.
John
I hear ya, I bought the newest year I could afford, I figure after the dust settles and I rebuild some funds, I'll add an aftermarket hardtop from Penweld in LI.
