Adventure 208 Bow rail mods for wishbone outrigger mounts

Well done. Boat looks great and the rigger mount looks substantial. Rail looks factory.

    Freedom (I mean fishing) 4/25/20

Back home. Fishing was good, day was better. 75* and no wind until it picked up in the afternoon for the 15 mile journey back to the ramp. Got a bit wet. Cleaned boat at marina and hauled her home. Cleaned a mess of fish, ended up with four halibut to 12lbs. Let’s see if I can post some shots.

Yes, launching early. See what happens. Got a plan to upgrade bait tank if my half scoop dies too quickly. The one issue I have with Grady White is the poor tank. What about us west coast fishermen, Grady?

Ya, the birds nest is bad, but the hook in your buddies ear that created it is a true tragedy.

Fishing this weekend. Receivers at Pier 39 are open and full of anchovy. The launch at Richmond marina is open. Halibut are being caught in the south bay, San Bruno and Alameda Rockwall. Unfortunately, the tides aren’t ideal.

    Through Hull Transducer Install

Oh ya! I can run like a gazelle now that I don’t have all that cash weighing down my pocket. I looked down to about a hundred feet at 40+ mph and the return was perfect. Never achieved that with a transom mount transducer. Love to see the return at 500’. Maybe one day, sigh.

    Through Hull Transducer Install

I installed an Airmar B75H transducer with 20 degree tilt a couple months back. Install went well. It’s always scary taking a holesaw to the hull. In a below water location, the fear is real. I watched the linked videos and followed a few tips making the install a breeze. Though hole...

    g2 250 on a seavee2 223 tournament?

Sorry if my post came across wrong. I just meant at some point a motor just wears out and/or becomes unreliable. I, personally would not trust a 25yo motor (unless I owned it from new) where I boat. At that time it’s not about a fuel mileage calculation to determine if it’s worth it to make a...

    g2 250 on a seavee2 223 tournament?

I can’t help from thinking “break” may be the key word here. He has a 25 year old motor on the back of his boat and an opportunity to put a three year old motor on it. Would you prefer to drive a 25 year old car through the desert with your family with no cell reception or a three year old...

    What’s better than two MFD’s?

Update the software from lowrance site. If you are not seeing a low voltage alarm on unit, voltage is not issue. Move chip to other slot and rechoose Navionics from menu. I don’t believe the processor is causing issue as I ran a gen 1 with Navionic on my whaler for years. Could be a short in...

    g2 250 on a seavee2 223 tournament?

455lbs for the Ocean Pro, 537lbs for the ETEC. Move the batteries and weight at transom would be the same. But mileage and performance would be greatly improved. No more exhaust fumes either.

    What’s better than two MFD’s?

I’m running a 12” touch at helm with Navionics platnuim +, a 8” gen2 in radio box and a 8” gen2 at stern. Sharing maps is no issue. All are running latest software. My understanding is you can’t share from gen 1, you can share from gen 2 or 3 to gen 1.
