i do not a have a kicker, but there is a few different styles brackets, the best/strongest I would think does not mount to the step, but to the transom.

Sounds unfortunate. Do you have a copy of the warranty? What does it explicitly say about water damage ? Have you contacted the previous owner ?

Ca DMV can be a real PITA when it comes to out of state vehicles, you'll need to probably make an appointment to get your trailer inspected. I had some bonehead at the DMV inspect mine, he said I was missing some sticker and wouldn't verify it, had to get a hold of the trailer manufacture...

Atleast run it at home to make sure water pump works, bilge turns on, horn works. I understand your enthusiasm to get on some water. Do a little due diligence. Your feel better knowing some critical parts of the boat are working. .

That's what I was thinking.

Take the advice and go through it some prior to hitting the water. Make sure all the fluids are good, shifting is good, pumps, lighting etc.. You know what I mean.

Did you apply heat to housing on the lu or on the prop shaft cover?

What was the fix in the motor??

You never tested the water pumps after you installed them? Do your self a big favor if you don't already have, get a big water trough that you can run your engines in. You be glad you did.

Ma map gas won’t work? Just asking most don’t have an oxy rig. But map or propane is readily available.
