    Fresh water tank cap

There are different sizes but if you measure the threaded portion and the cap diameter you can search on Amazon. That said, just take the measurements to a marine store. It is most probable that your fuel cap is the same size. You also may want to look for a cap with the retaining chain. That...

    Bunk spread for a lift - 2020 Freedom 325

Bunks would be 25 1/4 inch apart or 51 1/2 inch apart ( center to center.) The center of load which would typically be placed in the middle of the bunks is 124 1/4 inch off of the transom

Possible rotted tank or rotted fill hose.

    Fuel sender ohms

You should disconnect the pink wire at the dash if connected to the fuel management gauge and run it to the new fuel gauge.

    Fuel sender ohms

Typical config was a tach and a speedo with each gauge also displaying some additional info like oil status, motor trim angle and tank level. If you have three gauges, the third would be fuel management. These gauges when powered up, go through a sort of self test where all the possible display...

    Fuel tank install

I don't know if the lack of a resume was directed at me or David Pascoe. I suspect me since David is well known in the marine field. I am no expert, just a often grumpy older geezer who will attempt just about any task once after spending an inordinate amount of time researching the job. Like...

    Fuel tank install

The advice to use a bed of 5200 as a separator and sealant between whatever you use nd the tank is correct. I would not use HDOE since it doesn't stick to 5200 very well. The practice of leaving the strips short of the tank edge is also good advice. The idea is to eliminate areas where water can...

Leaking into the cuddy through windshield screws

I don't know if the screws are your issue but if they are, just sealing then over with silicone won't work well. You should remove the screw, coat it with a sealant or adhesive, put some sealant into the screw hole and then reinstall the screw. That said, as mentioned there may be other...

    Starlink on 366 Canyon

Starlink is cracking down on folks who uses the base package away from the home port. In other words, in the agreement it states that you can not use the service while cruising. The actual wording is more complex but basically what was a good deal isn't anymore, The new Marine Option may not be...

    Fuel sender ohms

What gauges do you have currently? Your boat most likely had a fuel gauge. If you have round digital LCD gauges, the speedometer gauge is also the fuel level gauge. On that gauge, the tank level is displayed as none to 8 bars on the right section of the display Assuming you are in the USA, all...

    livewell fills

That is why a standpipe is preferable over a cork. The tank will not overfill ( in theory:)) Of course, one cold leave out the standpipe and a cork and the tank will drain by itself. Unless the fill fitting has a shutoff and the seacock is closed, the livewell may get wet. Even with those two...

Does the OP want to find a fuel shutoff or a tank selector? There may not be a fuel shutoff valve.

    Fuel tank install

OK, I read the original post again. The new tank was made to be an exact match to the old. Did you check that it is a match? The old tank has worked since the start of time ( well at least 1984). Why would you change the orientation now?? It's sort of ' if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. If I...

NO.. The data a s mentioned are pulses and you will not see them using a multimeter.

    Fuel tank install

Remember that your hull will sit differently when the tank has gas in it and you are at the helm. If you will raise the front of the tank, make sure that you will still have clearance for the fill and vent fittings and hoses. You may be overthinking the install. If you want to be sure that there...

Yamaha 6Y5 Fuel Management Gauge not recording GPH

The output of the flow sensor is a string of pulses. You need an oscilloscope to view the output. The 5v I mentioned is the power to the sensor. It will read on a multimeter

Yamaha 6Y5 Fuel Management Gauge not recording GPH

The three wires will be 5 Volts supply, battery ground , and sensor output ( which is pulses , as the fuel spins the paddle wheel.) Check at the flow sensor with a volt meter, all three pins relative to ground. One should be 5 volts. I would assume the black is the ground.
