    Tom McGow, Tabman passed.

A good man who will be missed. I don’t know how he did it - you just typed his name and he was there!

    An enjoyable book to read

Peter Jenkin's 'Along the Edge of America', 1995. I read the book many years ago and something made me think of it recently, so I read it again and still enjoyed it. Without saying too much, the non-boater author intends to pilot his brand new, 1990 Grady-White Sailfish the length of the Gulf...

    Need Help With Bimini Enclosure

That white plastic tool used to - and maybe still does - come with new boats. If your dealer doesn't want to part with one, Grady might if you call them.

When did you get your first Grady-White?

Thinking that a 282 would be nice on some of the longer trips, but hopefully would still be something I could fish solo when I want to. Torn though - a center console would be nice for 80% of the boating I/we do (fishing, diving, snorkeling).

When did you get your first Grady-White?

Tip of the hat to you and your wife for diving in Gloucester, MA. Hardy souls, you are. I'll go when the water hits 78 degrees, but I prefer 80!

When did you get your first Grady-White?

First one was a Spirit 175 in 1992. We were looking for the most seaworthy boat we could stuff in our garage. We had decided on a Hydra-Sport until we saw the Grady at a boat show. We didn’t know anything about Gradys, but the quality jumped out at us. That was three Grady’s ago. It is that...

    Good day with Sailfish

That inlet needs an efficient, well maintained sand transfer plant on the north side. That would eliminate much of the sand bar. The fear is that would also eliminate much of the littoral drift of sand to the south of the inlet. That is a reasonable fear. Hence the sand transfer plant would...

    1997 F26 Tigercat "Sunny Life"

Beautiful picture of a beautiful boat. I’ve always liked the looks and layout of that model. I’m guessing that you would strongly disagree with those who say that the hull is not well balanced? I ask because I still think that maybe one day I might try to look for an F-26. Thanks, Rob

    aluminum transom trim

Dave: It is one long piece. If you go to media section you can open the photos and download them. That may help. I find I have to downgrade quality of photos to meet max size for uploading. In any case, I'll try to remember to get some close-ups next chance I get to go fishing. Rob

    Good day with Sailfish

Sir Grady: We run out of Lake Worth Inlet. Oddly, we were off plane slogging our way out. Then in about 500' things sort of calmed down a bit. So we set up kite fishing in about 580'. GEII: Yesterday was unusual to catch a sail that far out. More typically, I'd look for them between 90' - 200'...

    Good day with Sailfish

Its that time of year when sailfish make their way through south Florida. Second photo is reviving a tired fish by taking him along with boat in gear until he is strong enough to kick away.

    aluminum transom trim

Upon closer look at the transom cap, it is the same material that Grady uses to protect sharp corners around the cabin of my boat. Nothing new, just a new use for whats been in use for many years. I would guess that it is hpde. Rob

    considering an atlantic

GWGirl: First, welcome to the forum! As you may have guessed, not many Atlantic owners out there. I remember when they came out. I also recall that they did not stay in production for more than a couple of years, I believe. Still, I believe there is an Atlantic owner or two on the forum and...

    aluminum transom trim

I suppose I should have asked more about it. Seems pretty hard, so I'm guessing more like hdpe.

Using raw water washdown for live baitwell

Suggest taking a look at the amp draw of your washdown pump and comparing to typical livewell pumps. Some washdowns have a high draw and would be a heavy drain on your battery. Don't know if yours is, but suggest you check.
