Just installed my Pro Fish on my 228 in the same location as Roberth. 8 plait and 1/4" chain with Mantus anchor. So far so good, no real issues.

I have one center, but it's probably not the style you are asking about. I fish a 5 rod spread for catfish so this style works for me.

Probably more trouble than they are worth. Cheaply made and will rust out or lock up in short order.

Here's what I use to support the cover in the rocket launchers and put on the handles of the antenna mounts. The poles are 19" long. Between these and the cover going over the motor, I have very little contact with the antennas.

Go to local auto parts and get some 3M trim tape. Clean off the old tape on back of trim and cut a new piece of tape and you're good to go. No silicone mess to deal with.

I'd look into changing out the lower unit to a 25" before I'd add a jackplate. Just to much mass hanging on the bracket pushing it further back. Might not have any issues, but I personally wouldn't do it. Change lower or sell 30" motor and put a 25" back on.
