    Tournament 205 hull change

The 205 was introduced in 2004. Prior to that the 192 was made, but was discontinued and then brought back last year.

    GW 205 Tournament - Price

If you can buy an '07 for $38K, I would run, don't walk, NOW to the seller and get a deposit in his hands. The motor is probably still under warranty...the hull is certainly under warranty. That is a good deal.....

    Perko Scupper Flaps

Any Grady Dealer should have them. I bought a set a couple months back from Beacon Light Marina (I happened to be in Baltimore on business and stopped by there.) They were about $6 for the pair.

    Tournament 192 vs 205

Unless you are less than about 12 years old or are a contortionist, don't expect to be able to use the head in a 205. In fact, I took the head out of my 205 and just used the compartment for storage.

    Horsepower for tournament 205

Depends on how you are going to use the boat. If your primary use is cruising, etc... then you will be fine. If you want to pull a skier with 3 or 4 people in the boat, you will be disappointed. Mine had a F225....the performance numbers were not much different from one with a F200. It was...

    1977 Float On trailer problems

Call Float On at 772-569-4440. I'm guessing you can use any actuator (and a 6600 capacity actuator will set you back about $150 or so) but they can tell you for sure.

    Pics of Grady without stripes?

Maybe I've gotten used to it. Or maybe its because a stripe kit is $160, and as soon as I put it on, I'll get a case of dock rash :D

    Trim Sender Replacement

Anyone attempted to do this themselves on a Yamaha 2 stroke or HPDI V6? Mine has been kaput....picked up a sender on EBay and the replacement SS collar from my local dealer but I'd like to save the labor charges and do it myself. I can see the screw that holds the sender to the bracket, and...

Where is your favorite boating swimming hole....

Silver Glen is a good one....or more likely "was" a good one. Its been 5 years or so since I've been there, but I understand they are now limiting the ability of boaters to anchor in there due to environmental concerns. I'd add Crab Island, at the mouth of East Pass - where Choctawhatchee...

Ponce Inlet to Ft Pierce Inlet

Smoky Mountain hit it....the longest no wake zone is south of Ponce past New Smyrna, then from near Edgewater down to Oak Hill. From there the river widens up and its a straight shot down to Haulover. No wake in the canal, then a decent ride from there to Ft Pierce. You will hit nowake zones...

Woody Wax --- best place to buy

How much fuel should I be using?

I had an 01 226 with a 200 HPDI. It had the Yamaha Fuel Mgmt system. I typically saw 2.0 - 2.3 mpg depending on how hard and fast I pushed it. Its a heavy boat, particularly if you have a hardtop. The 228 has another couple hundred pounds for the bracket. I think your consumption is right...

    Buffing Question

On with a buffer....off by hand using microfiber towels. Sometimes I'll go back over it with a clean polishing pad and the buffer...thats when you really bring out the shine.
