    Proper sealants?

The problem is the internet. When someone reads, over and over, on various forums... "I use 5200 and it's great", then one tends to believe what is written without doing their own research. BUT... those people that spout off about "5200 being so great"... what are THEIR credentials? Or are...

    How do you remove this?

Thru-hull installation tool. But just be creative... a large washer held perpendicular... a screwdriver into the slot, tapping with a hammer... two slotted screwdrivers held in an X pattern... you get the idea. Hopefully someone didn't put 5200 on it. However, if you're replacing them -...

    Discharge Overboard?

A reducer coupler can be had in different styles... for example, pipe to pipe or pipe to barb or barb to barb. It depends on what you have and then you can figure out how to get to that 1" barb for for the discharge hose I'm not sure what size you're starting at, but you might find something...

    Discharge Overboard?

I'll send you a PM so don't derail this thread too far.

    Discharge Overboard?

You should be able to get barb adapters to go from one hose size to another?

    Discharge Overboard?

You're right, it is easier to push than pull. Although the distance we're talking about here doesn't have much impact on the pump. But, yes, it would technically be easier on the pump. I've had LOT'S of experience with transfer pumps mounted either on top of the tank (tanks with a dip tube)...

    Discharge Overboard?

Macerators and/or transfer pumps work very well located even a distance from the tank. But along the lines of what you mentioned, it may just be a convenience of installation thing along with trying to save some space... not that a macerator takes up much room, of course! :)

    Discharge Overboard?

Like others mentioned, you probably just didn't look hard enough or it's covered by a bunk. But if you have a seacock, then you have the discharge. Yes seacock handles get stiff if not "exercised" on a regular basis. Since you're on a trailer, remove the hose and spray some penetrating liquid...

    repower 1993 Spirit 17

Being a 4S or 2S makes no difference regarding shaft length. It's dependent only on the height of your transom. What is the measurement of your transom height? FYI, you're responding to a thread that is nearly 10 years old. One of the guys only posted one time and hasn't been back.

    Deck/Hull Hardware

I don't have your boat, but you can usually figure out how to get to the backing nuts easily enough - meaning, you'd know exactly where they are supposed to be so once you look at things you can figure it out. The best sealant for what you're talking about is butyl tape. But sealants like Life...

Walk through windshield deformed by Ian

If it's just a slight bow you can probably take it apart and gently finesse it back together. Consider yourself lucky that the glass didn't break!!! VERY expensive to replace!!!

    Vinyl repair

I've had surprisingly good luck with VLP Vinyl Repair over the years. I would call this an 85% "cosmetic" repair. Clean the vinyl with alcohol -- some for you, some for the vinyl :) -- kidding, of course! Use rubbing alchol for the vinyl and the good stuff for you! :) If needed, use thin...

    Free.. Grady Classic

Some of the truest words ever spoken! But... It's nice to see that the owner screwed a piece of the plywood over the hole in the transom where the outdrive would have been so critters couldn't get in the boat......

    2006 Tournament 225 Prop?

In that case, I would prop the boat to get the most efficiency and put the 19" on it. You can drop those tabs down (and engine if needed) and stay on plane very easily at a slower speed - those will have more of the effect you're looking for than a prop. This way you can also retain lower...

    2006 Tournament 225 Prop?

Gnerally speaking, yes. But... do you have trim tabs on that boat?

Close the bow on a Tournament 192?

Concerning my comment above about "no" bilge. The 192 has that lip as well. I totally forgot about that when I responded above. So, YES, a 192 DOES have a bilge where a large influx of water would find it's way into. SORRY FOR THE MISDIRECTION ABOVE.

    Fuel Problem

You can still open the sending unit and peer in there to look at the pickup tube - just don't drop your phone if you need to stick that in there to look. Are you sure the fitting on the top of the tank doesn't screw out?

Ball valves in hydraulic steering lines- brand & source?

I do not. However, look for a Parker store near you. Often you can just walk in and tell them what you need and they'll help you get what you need - or use an adapter to get to what you need. We have one nearby and they are always super helpful. If you sure of the size you need, Mcmaster...

    Fuel Problem

Did you refill that tank to prove that you put 150g back in (or close to it)? Remove the fuel sender and physically check the level. Let's 100% verify that there's still about 50g left before further diagnosis.

Close the bow on a Tournament 192?

I didn't either till I found a 192 for my parents. I was assuming I was going to be changing the scupper hoses... I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find out I didn't have to! Bonus! The only "little" project I had to do was reinforce a transom that had gotten some water in it through the...
