A fuse is a lot cheaper than a float switch. I would be checking for power, and hoping not to find it. I think the old blue ones have a short piece of the shaft sticking out where the wires go in. See if you can get a grip on it, and manually lift the float.

0.060 is 1/16th of an inch. Have you run it and have a good idea of how much it flexes in the wind? Looks like they made the front narrower than stock, to keep the poly off the curvature. And what is the tubing sticking up from the center of your windshield? I don't have that fitting in 2000.

Nice job! Did you remove the electronics box, to allow them to fold in/up, or did you not have one? Don't see the typical bump on top of the hard top. I have been wondering if the front panels can be done in one piece, and minimize the fabric at the top of the windshield, to increase visibility.

A lot of covers attach underneath the hardtop, eliminating that problem, and increasing your choices. If you want them covered, you can use a separate hardtop cover for the top itself.

Joe, how long would it take you to access those through hulls(floor valves) if the deck hatch was not removed? A lot of Gradys have ss rods to remotely operate them. You should be able to close them in seconds in an emergency.

If the zipper is still good(box, teeth, tape, stitching), and the slide is the problem, that is a pretty simple fix, on the boat. The box is what joins the 2 halves together. Slide the slider all the way to the other end, and remove whatever is keeping it on the teeth. I could be a sewn tab, or...

You can almost always use a dual port livewell pump, or tee off of the existing through hull. A fresh water head is easier to keep smelling fresh, that's for sure.
