    Nautical Miles/ 228 Seafarer

edit: Doc types faster than I. I don't know what, "I run trimmed 100% forward almost 100% of the time" means, but I assume it is 100% bow down, since you can't run 100% bow up without the props blowing out. That's a terrible way to run a boat, unless you're fighting a chop, at relatively slow...

    Grady Pleated Vinyl

GW has always been good about telling you who the OEM supplier was, when they know it, but I don't expect a company who has been building boats for over 60 years to have a record of who they bought every item from.

    1989 gulfstream motor tilt

Take a half inch section of 1/4 inch rubber hose, slice it lengthwise, and center it over the hole. Put a small clamp around it.

    Low oil alarm 1989 gulfstream

Common Yamaha tank size is 2.8 gallons. If you get low on the engine tank, it will reduce rpm, and go into limp mode, at least more recent ones do.

    Rule 1100 GPH Livewell Pump

My mistake, the bilge pump has tabs, the livewell pump unscrews from the ball valve if it is the old style, or the motor is, I believe, push and turn to remove on the new style.

    Rigging transducer cable

I have an assortment of sizes ;). As you can see, the Garmin transducer plug does not have the screw cap on it. I lost that in the rigging tube, pulling it out of the old boat.

    Rule 1100 GPH Livewell Pump

Even if the motor is not quick change, you can still reach down there and release the two tabs on either side of the motor and remove it from the base to see if the impeller is clogged, or will turn freely by hand. Popped breakers could be in the wiring, rather than the pump. If you can reach...

    Rule 1100 GPH Livewell Pump

Seasick, I know what you mean. After spending a day working through the live well on my seafarer, I told my wife that if I had a heart attack, I wouldn't know it, from the soreness in my chest already. This was my solution, after the picture above.

    Rigging transducer cable

A tip for pulling bulky plugs in crowded areas. I buy bags of laboratory tubes, and small bottles for storing stuff, from my local university surplus warehouse, for pennies. Cutting down the end of a ballpoint pen, or using its cap, works well for small single wires. Caps for dental picks work...

    Rule 1100 GPH Livewell Pump

The ball valve is female threads on both ends. The pump is male threads, screwed into the top of the valve. edit: or just change the motor, as Lee said. I don't think the one on my 2000 has the quick change motor.

    Rigging transducer cable

Can't find a string, or can't find a rigging tube? If the tube is there, disconnect an existing wire at the helm end, attach a couple of pull cords to it, and pull the wire out the stern end of the tube. Then use the cord to start pulling everything back forward.
