My 192 had a F150 from Yammy and it topped out at 44.

I had a 192 and it had the reclining seat. The gas tank is center line mounted and you could remove the gas tank lid and see where the bracing and so forth is located.

It seems to me mounting the through hull a bit more aft will work fine as the further to the rear of the boat, the transducer will more likely be in the water at speed most of the time and less air under the hull there?

I am curious about this as well. Maybe backing out the swim platform bolts and resealing with 4200 or 5200? Unless that bracket is getting full of water, the mounting bolts there seem to be the last place to get rot, but I could be wrong.
