    Alarm on Yamaha F150

It is easier to pump out the water from the fuel tank instead of the gas. You can use a hand pump but that is a lot of work. If you want electric you must get a fuel transfer pump that specifically says it is OK for gasoline. I am one of those folks who does not automatically assume that the...

    Alarm on Yamaha F150

Does you gas filter have a water detection feature? Drain your filters without replacing them for now. Your tank may be full of water so either try to restart but use the primer bulb first. Another option is to open the sender and pump out any water in the bottom of the tank. Note that if you...

97 208 Adventure Transducers and Placement?

Definitely a lot of room. Some folks add a hatch and use that space for 'not so dry' storage:) The forward bilge drains through that locker. I would guess that you could mount the ducer a bit more forward too, limiting the scoop turbulence. The reason I like the shoot through or in hull is...

Anyone Added a 2nd Water Tank?

A second fill would be necessary as would a second vent.

97 208 Adventure Transducers and Placement?

On mine (2001) the space forward of the motor well and aft of the fuel tank is where the fresh water tank would be if you had that option. If you don't, that might be a good spot to install a thru-hull transducer. There probably would also be sufficient clearance for a shoot through transducer(...

97 208 Adventure Transducers and Placement?

I am not sure what that means:) The bilge pump is in the center of the bilge. If you line up the ducer with the scoops, it won't interfere with the rollers assuming your rollers don't run over the scoop. There isn't a lot of room forward of the scoop and getting to that space may be difficult...

    376 Fuel Burn

I am curious. Are you asking to determine the cost to run or to estimate the cruise range? The early 2000s Everglades 350 CC with trip 350s has similar fuel usage numbers. At optimal cruise speed, maybe a tad over 1 MPG. Those numbers are usually best case and are obtained with unpainted...

97 208 Adventure Transducers and Placement?

I understand that but still wonder if the scoop creates turbulence forward of its location.

    95 Sailfish Scupper Valve Replacement

I think I know which one you have. It is the same as mine and I was not able to find the flap at a reasonable price. It was less expensive to but the whole fitting with the ring. It was the same size and hole placement but as I mentioned, I had to reuse the old spacers AND screws.

Re powering an old Grady .

I understand the power relationship but my point was that if I ended up grabbing a bare 12 or 24 volts conductor or connector, I probably wouldn't feel anything. If I grabbed a 400 or 600 volt bare wire, I would most likely be killed ( especially if DC current

    Bow Pulpit is Finally Here.

I think the clear is for bedding the bolts and trim washers. Generally none should show. %200 obviously for pulpit to deck contact and the tinted caulk for finishing the seams

New Electronics in '97 Sailfish 272.

If you use polarized sunglasses normally, bring them to the show and see if your proposed placement causes visibility issues. Some MFDs are more sensitive to angles especially with polarized sunglasses. That test should cover vertical position as well as left to right. I tend to stand when...

97 208 Adventure Transducers and Placement?

I hope someone knows for sure if that will work. I would be concerned about turbulence from the raw water scoops.

    Bow Pulpit is Finally Here.

the SCS1000 is similar silicon sealant without the mildicide. Used for bedding fittings. I am not sure if you are calling 5200 a silicon. It isn't 1700 comes in white, light almond or clearish. I am not sure if it is a color match for the original gel coat anymore than GE silicone in almond...

    Keel rash- thoughts?

If you are going to beach your boat, you may want to consider a keel guard product. Of course, you will still need to repair your rash.

    95 Sailfish Scupper Valve Replacement

Is 2 3/4 inch the diameter of the flap, the inside diameter of the ring or the outside diameter of the ring. When I couldn't find the same size flapper on my boat, I bought the nearest full assembly, mounting ring, gasket and flapper. I had to reuse the spacer rings.

Re powering an old Grady .

One other point on those electric motors: The motors are either 450 or 600 volts. I didn't understand why the difference but regardless, I would not be comfortable having either voltage in my vessel, especially in a wet, salty environment.

    WTB 330 Express

Some folks will disagree but I wouldn't buy a hull with F350s in that model year (and other years).

Post the diameter of the wheel too. That would help those looking for a wheel.

Assuming you have a rebuilder in mind, give them a call and ask for their help. I would bet that they will know the model from looking at pictures or they may ask you to take pics of specific areas. If anyone knows it will be a rebuilder.
