    Canyon 306 Windshield water repair

Probably just hose. Maybe you can pull it out. Maybe you can pull it back. But opening up the panels and headliner you have to decide if its worth it. I ditched my wipers and front windows last year! Not the best photo but you get the idea.

How to remove the dual-switch helm dome light?

The frosted cover snaps in. If you use a small flat blade screwdriver you can find them an CAREFULLY pry the edge up and pop it off. Inside there are two screws with nuts inside the overhead box. I have seen one variation where a block was glued into the fixture and screwed into from inside the...

Freedom 285 Battery Charger and Autopilot

Install a Pro Mariner ProSport 20 Triple. The later models have improved fuse holders which were a problem with past modes. Don't need 3-banks? Get it anyway! Units ship with a good battery charging harness too.

    Re-glassing Fuel-tank Hatch

GW probably outsources parts like pulpits, hatches and hardtops to different builders.

    Cracks in Gelcoat

You can't really fill the gelcoat cracks. If its a long single crack you can grind it out. But in your case and mine its easier to replace the gelcoat completely in the area affected. Talk to a fiberglass guy about the repair.

    Re-glassing Fuel-tank Hatch

I have a 1997 Islander. My factory bow pulpit is filled with some hard fill material. Feels like resin mixed with sand! In the photo ignore the repair and look at the block sitting on top with the other stuff that was removed. The soap bar sized chunk is a fill material the GW used. Heavy and...

    Cracks in Gelcoat

Impact damage. I have a bit of that on by boat that I'll repair this summer. The bow on my boat will spin around in a 5 know crosswind. When docking and backing in the wind would push the boat onto the dock. The boat would impact the end of the dock and put the stress on a small section of the...

    Re-glassing Fuel-tank Hatch

I want more shear strength in the core. I’m not taking any chances! Don’t want to have to do over. Same logic I use with polyester vs epoxy. My time is worth more than the cost difference.

    Boat Cover

I lived in Laguna Beach for year or so but didn’t fish. Water was always cold. Must be some currents there that make it cold and different ones that bring in the fish.

    Re-glassing Fuel-tank Hatch

The hatch rests on it's edge on the supports of the deck. That gap you have all around should be packed with filler and glass. Actually it should be plywood or composite to within 1/4" and packed with glass cloth and resin. What is that pink stuff?

    Re-glassing Fuel-tank Hatch

Use the West 206. It's not that slow this time of year. Gives you some time to work on a larger piece. You really want to fill the edges and the over drilled screw holes. I also did a half-assed vacuum bagging job as well. Stickey stuff tape from Fiberglast, Home Depot 10 mil clear plastic and...

    trim tab issue

As Dennis said these pumps are very reliable. Start with power problem. Check fuse. Put a voltmeter on the switch - other end of volt meter to ground/black/common near fuse block.
