    Sleeping on a Dual Console?

I don't know the size of that small bunk, but you should probably go and find one in person to check it out. Possibly your dealer could at least give you the interior dimensions. Two other possibiliites... have a canvas "dome" made to cover the bow like a tent and use the filler cushions to...

    Marine head upgrade.

Yes, that's about all you have to do to dump a PP yourself. FYI, you can pour it down any toilet.

    Marine head upgrade.

OK, that all makes sense now, Bill. Thanks for looking into this further and clarifying. Now that we know, for sure, what you have, it's easier to move forward. I didn't click on that link in your post, but there are two sizes available (you probably already found this out, but just in case)...

    Marine head upgrade.

Bill, I'm looking at the picture of your head again, and as Glacier mentioned, it's just a standard PP, not an "MSD" -- which would have pump out connections already there, on the LOWER portion, as opposed to that large screw cap used to empty the head into a land toilet. Are you 100% positive...

    Is this to low ?

IF water backflows in, worst case is a few inches towards at the aft end of the cockpit. That probably only has a possibility of happening if you all are back there at the same time. As soon as you move, the water will drain back out. I don't particularly like them because they can get fouled...

    Is this to low ?

Can't really tell anything from those pictures as far as the scuppers and their level compared to the water line. But there doesn't appear to be any water in the cockpit... which is your primary concern, right?

Vinyl with spots on helm arms

Mold. Start with bleach. Put it on a white rag and let it soak for about 5 - 15 minutes. Mix the bleach about 4:1 with water. I think I also read that someone just removed them and soaked in a bucket with bleach/water.

New full curtain set to Adventure 208 2001 - or any Grady

DB, as he noted, he used Great Lakes - which I'm sure you can find their info from that. Their full name, though, is Great Lakes Boat Top. HOWEVER, due to high demand, they're currently only able to fill manufacturer orders - they are not doing retail sales. You can still contact them...

    Marine head upgrade.

There's a second style of porta potti called an "MSD" PP. That style does have a fitting on the back that could be used as a drain. However, it's not "completely" on the bottom so it wouldn't fully drain - but close - and may require a pump of some sort to move the stuff to a holding tank...

    Marine head upgrade.

One thing I would add, Bill... don't get too caught up in using what Grady would have used. A head system is an independent system from the rest of the boat. Install what works best for you. Jabsco is good stuff - so is Dometic. Dometic's Vacuflush system is VERY nice, but pricey, and...

    Confusing Battery switches

You mean like this? Nah, go for it. But there's also another forum to look into - clubsearay. I'm "Lazy Daze" over there. It's a very active forum. Lots of well mannered, informative members - just like here.

    Confusing Battery switches

I always liked those Lagunas - they are VERY solid boats. I wonder if a previous owner disabled that one switch? Funny thing is, those switches look newer - as if someone added them - that breaker is definitely newer than the boat - which is certainly not a bad thing! Maybe someone disabled...

    Marine head upgrade.

Although I'm not a fan of pumping overboard... Probably the easiest solution is to put a Y-valve in the pump out hose and connect the Y to a macerator/seacock/thru-hull. Are there other marinas in the area with a pump-out? Must be something nearby on your way out or in?

    Confusing Battery switches

Basically, that combiner is like a master switch for 2 individual circuits (house and engine, for example). It turns both circuits on or off at the same time, yet still keeps the isolated from each other. Then, if needed, you can also combine them. Whether things are still wired as...

    Bracket question

Looks like aluminum. Yes, clean it off real well and assess. Get it down to bare (or at least bare-ish) metal.

    Engine help

It could be a number of things, but start with "free" things. Fuel starvation... clogged vent, collapsed vent/supply hose, internally failing fuel hose(s), clogged pickup, clogged AS valve. The easiest way to eliminate all of these things is to use a portable fuel tank plumbed right to the...

    Tankless Water Heater

The only tankless, 120V ones I've ever seen are "portable" camping units. I looked briefly into them a couple years ago for our camp in Maine (for an outside rinse off), but I never really went any further with it than briefly looking. I don't recall them being all that expensive and I suppose...

    Bow Pulpit Upgrade

Hi Robert - thanks for linking that! Yeah, I think anchoring, in general, is not a "hard and fast" type science - there's just too many variables. For example, I can't ever remember having problems with a plow style, even on sandy bottoms, but that doesn't mean someone else won't with a...

    2000 Sailfish 272 Livewell Lid

Ah, OK, I know the kind you mean. For a quick repair, clean out the core a bit and stuff it with PC-11. Then use a larger washer (fender washer) on the bottom side - use two or three washers if you need to get to the right size. If you want to replace it, there's all kinds of hatch "pulls"...
