    Lost all house power

get your manual and follow the wiring schematic. if everything is gone it is going to be somewhere along the common line. my house feeds off of the starboard switch. i also have a main dc breaker in the a/c d/c panel. if you have a main dc breaker also, it may have just gone bad. good luck, ron

    Watersports - Tubing help

like i said, i couldn't find what i needed. i used like 5/8 or 3/4 (can't remember) braid yellow poly with three ss caribiners. tied off the apex with a yellow float in between knot and caribiner. works very well. you could probably make your own sheave system, but i determined wasn't worth...

    Motor Bracket Leaking?

the cockpit is not sealed so if enough water got in to submerge the scuppers i'm sure it would find it's way into the bilge. on my current boat, about 2 inches of water in the cockpit without the scuppers off loading and water will find it's way to the bilge. on the 232, the twin bracket was...

    Watersports - Tubing help

that's like the one i used in the past. i like the centering. might not be long enough though. take a length of string and see how long it needs to be to prevent the line from laying up to the engine. i couldn't find one long enough for the 232 (w/ twin f200's); that's why i made my own...

    Motor Bracket Leaking?

top access plate. i had water in mine. sealed the plate with high quality sealant and no water since then (remove it and seal correctly, not just around the perimeter). i opened the bottom drain plug annually to let any water out. good luck, ron

    Watersports - Tubing help

http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product ... rchID=4005 make sure you get one (or make one) long enough to clear the engine. i used store bought in the past (that actually had a sheave on it to transfer load) but made my own stationary one for my 232. good luck, ron

    Sell it or Keep it?

ultimately your call. but given the facts you laid out, it sounds as though it's not really an issue for you to sit on it another year or two. the new four strokes would probably be awesome on that hull. another year or two of others testing them out benefits you. and engines can be...

    Taking the Factory Tour

great tour. went in summer '08 (pre-purchase). for all the trash talk on gw prices, you will clearly see the effort and infrastructure that goes into producing the product and supporting it. have fun, ron

    Garmin 4210

pull the connections between the gsd and the mfd and the gsd and power/xducer. make sure they are all clean (no green/blue). also check the power connection to the distribution block. i use dielectric grease on all my connections. (watch for the tiny o-ring on the network connection) also...

Changed Impeller - Fisher Panda 4200 generator

timing is everything. FP just changed the location of the pump. it's now directly on the end of the shaft so it is easily accessible. i'm doing mine shortly. ron

    330 Express Performance

i agree with the comments. i get the same fuel burn over almost a 10 mph range. low end equals low rpm and high to high. i trim out both tabs and engine to achieve best performance. pay closer attention next time you are out to see whether you can replicate what i am saying. and yes...

Sea Star Hydraulic Sterring question about the 330 Express

Re: Sea Star Hydraulic Sterring question about the 330 Expre only the f350's have standard power assist. otherwise it is an option. it would be mounted behind the starboard bulkhead in the midberth. it will only come on when the key is on. i no expert, but i believe the smaller helms are...

    Gas Tank Capacity Problem

the manual for your boat/year indicates an aluminum tank. if your's is poly, it was probably replaced. may not be 82 gals. also, pickup may not be down as far as it should. are you original owner? ron

    Draining the Drive bracket

if they have to re-caulk, they probably have to re-torq the bolts also. my water entry point was the inspection port on the top of the bracket. i removed and cleaned it, then caulked it very well on the re-install. i used one of the boat life caulks suitable for below waterline. that was...

208 owners - do you use Sea Sucker Mounts?

Be safe. Look into ram-mounts (hard attachment, not suction cup). I've used them on a garmin 2010c and a ray c80. very durable. Good luck, ron

    Repower 2002 232 Gulfstream

i had an '02 gulfstream with twin f200's. i couldn't even imagine how the performance would be with a single 150. i could, however, say that i would not want to be trying to execute close-quarter maneuvering in adverse conditions. i would agree in finding a cheap 150 to hold off a full...

offshore running with air condition on ???

you should do a quick check with GW just to be safe. my '09 has a forward facing scoop for the a/c pickup. since the a/c is an open system, i would guess there are no real issues with forced water. the genset, however, is a flat pancake intake. even with the pancake, they instruct not to...

Captains with Insurance from BoatU.S. Should Probably Read

Re: Captains with Insurance from BoatU.S. Should Probably Re understand you are angry about a rate increase, but CNA is not owned by Allstate. it's a separate public company. good luck, ron
